Literally wrote this out when requesting a refund today…
“I would like a refund for my Shadowlands Pre-purchase. I am currently not satisfied with the state of the game and don’t have any interest in the next expansion. I think the devs need a lot more time with the expansion, and are rushing to finish it and I don’t believe it’ll be ready in time for the release date. I appreciate all you guys do, but as a veteran player, the current game doesn’t feel good.”
Like group questing being BROKEN. Couldn’t complete more than 3 quests as a group without having to logoff or disband or redo it.
they did this with TBC, and look how well it was received

Number 2, this expansion was obviously not going to release on time. Any amount of research whatsoever would have shown that a delay was going to happen. Khadgar’s realm exploding, the amount of bugs on PTR and beta, the state of balance, all of which are issues highlighted in this very article.
You’ll be absolutely fine having to go to work, come home, and level then. It’s really not that big’a deal. This is a video game. Not life.

Great, I think this is the best decision y’all could have made at this point. Polish it up, make it the best it can be! That way we can all have a better and smoother experience than playing a half finished game.

Many companies require scheduling 1-2 or even more months out, my old company if you didn’t schedule 3+ months out you weren’t getting your time off.

I’m glad you guys announced pre-patch but without the launch event it seems kind of boring. I hope the launch event happens soon. I get why Shadowlands is delayed, makes sense.

If you’re going to make a product, make it something you can be proud of and that the fans will love.
Really, I’m just glad the game will get more work and that I have enough time to cancel my vacation! 
Great decision for the health of the game. Wish it was announced sooner than 2 days before my time off is in the schedule system.
Great news. Thanks for actually taking the time to polish it rather than making a rushed release. This was what I hoped you guys would do but wasn’t expecting you to do it, so definitely a pleasant surprise that has legitimately given me more hope for this expansion overall.
