I’m not expecting gear for anything I haven’t done. I’m asking to simply give us the option back and definitely change the loot back to what it was before it was tinkered with. When the loot was changed it was noticeable. You tried to get away from smaller groups getting everything but you just made it even worse for those of us with bad luck as it was to go that much longer or rely on the kindness of an increasingly toxic community. LFR, Timewalking, groupfinder in general is littered with people joining then leaving after simply not getting what they were after. The change didn’t help improve anything, it made it worse. Group finder is a little better when doing mythic+ because you have to stop what your doing to go to the dungeon! That simple change of that aspect alone would solve many more issues as well. Instant teleportation inside a dungeon or raid rewards mr toxic because there out in the world doing whatever queuing for a raid then leaving after a single boss because they didn’t get what they were after, then leaving the raid in disarray because it’s not usually one or two, the raid is clearing to the next boss or waiting for more people to re-queue because the people that stayed wiped on that trash pull because of the deserters…then it also penalizes the next in line because there coming into a wing with 1/3 or 2/3 dead bosses…it does the opposite of what it was intended. There’s always bad apples these changes just reward the bad ones, “you wouldn’t throw away a bag of apples because 1/12 were rotten”. So don’t let a small few dominate a change when you “blizzard/GM” can take action against the exploitating offenders. I guess I just don’t understand why the systems in place before like the whole reason a warlock can summon… and meeting stones exist with the instant here ya go!
Warlock summon btw…requires 3 people to make a summon stone. Meeting stones only requires 2…why not remove the 3 person requirement for the stone summon…would make them more useful without instantly jumping in and out, instead of the very few niche situations now.
Plus getting rid of instant teleport inside and out would put mage portals back to more than just major city hearthstones…it stops rewarding toxic mass exodus and reforming half the raid because they didn’t get there trophies. I’m pretty sure it could be a win win. We cut the fat so to speak. It slows the game down slightly, a minor inconvenience to travel to the content you want to run and or it also helps those two classes get the feeling of some nostalgic purpose. Minor inconvenience or keep allowing people that avoid effort and are only about themselves.
It’s not group finder that’s the problem, it’s the zero effort personal taxi with a minor few minute wait to rejoin penalty. The penalty for abandoning fellow players should be a significant choice.
How about a check box secondary confirmation making sure they want to exit followed by 30 minutes of OG res sickness…

I do not like group loot because i am not winning any gear despite needing everything.

I would like it more if I won more rolls.

Please make it so I am the winner of every roll every time and that will fix the system.

Did you play before the change to looting? I thought that having loot tables for raids and dungeons was for playing the game to have fun even if just helping a friend? I’m not asking for 100% drop rate, I’m asking for the system that was in place originally. The option for us as players to have the choice and not be forced into a system not as popular because there were a few groups that were said to have been exploiting…titan forging was a crap thing too, if you hardly like the lack of loot from group loot then your just like me and get wq items that top out like 365 those are where titan forging gets wasted lol. It’s just silly and shortsighted to limit a control option then throw in yet more chance when it’s feast and famine as it is.

This system of loot rewards loot no one can use in the raid way to often! The old system gave you increased chances at loot longer you went without. Current system rewards selfish players with many more chances at it they didn’t have before. As an example last week 25% of the drops we got couldn’t be rolled on by anyone. There is nothing good about this system other than it enables those who only care about themselves to do it with impunity!

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gotten loot I just cannot use on any of my specs. Polearms for a shaman makes no sense. Getting everything but mail?

Seriously, why can’t the system see that I cannot use plate, leather or cloth? I’m not the only one in my raid group that complains about this. Usually these drop and we cannot trade them to others because no one wants them, or they got the same thing in their armor style but the stats aren’t designed for their role.

Many folks I hear in chat complain that there seems to be a disconnect because so often what they get doesn’t even come close to matching their loot spec.

I’m gonna need source on that.

It at least “seemed” that way because there was always a drop, it was just which item. Now it’s a possibility nothing will drop instead of at least something.
Went from what’s it gonna be !! To Is there any loot?
I saw that some players in LFR were getting augment runes from bosses as well…good for them, nice 1 hour stat stick or few hundred gold.
I’ve run LFR on several characters/classes normal also, wing after wing dozens of times and I have yet to see even 1 single recipe/schematic drop…kinda silly that so many of the recipes are completely random and rare so that only the small handful that get them can sell them on the AH…thought it wasn’t supposed to be a small few that benefit?? This seems exactly counter to that plan.

Want to know why personal loot was better? Let’s take last expansion at 30 bosses (fated raid). Say you had a new toon and ran all 30 bosses. With personal loot, you were almost certain to get 3 - 5 pieces of loot. This made it feel like progress and worth your time because you knew you would get something from the effort. Sometimes you could trade, sometimes it was transmog, other times it was a DE or vendor, but you had something tangible for the effort.

Now, this expansion, on a number of my alts I’ve won nothing for weeks, had multiple bosses drop tier tokens only one person needed, seen hunter weapons drop without a single hunter in the raid, and have lost rolls of the same item to the same person. I was also in a toxic guild, and part of the loot council, might I add where the “in clique” was usually awarded items and it felt bad all the way around. I don’t understand why Blizzard is destined to repeat history at a failed experiment.

Stop repeating history and revert to personal loot. I loved the guild I was in, but loot council takes soo much time, energy, and will always make one person win and everyone else lose. So instead of putting players against players, make it players versus rng, then we can blame bad luck instead of favoritism. You’ve literally reintroduced the most toxic part of WoW… want evidence? Go to Preach gaming, wherein Preach loves loot council because he was in the top 1% of players, but listen to his stories of toxic players and toxic loot council, ninjas, and guilds falling apart because of purple pixels. The 99% that write stories to him have all the negative stories from years past, but you don’t hear a single story where “my guild fell apart because of personal loot” you only hear “my guild fell apart because of a clique/loot ninja/selling items/dkp/etc…”

Final closing thoughts… personal loot lets us actually have multiple specs… if you want to go back in time, why not make it so you can only dual spec again? Because you’ve essentially done this because trying to gear up as an off spec anything is horrible with the current loot system, especially when BIS trinkets aren’t “allowed” for your spec so you either have to run half of the bosses as one spec, and drop for the other half, or just not participate in content, or hopefully have a friend roll need on items and give them to you… oh wait, feels bad when your 410 buddy is rolling need on something they don’t need because its the only way you can get the item via trading… PL or GL, you can get the item, but with GL everyone gets mad at the 410, but when you win as PL people can blame the system instead of “toxic players” just trying to play the game…

Good rebuttal. I withdrawal my comment to revert to OG loot because of the valid issues that made the change to personal loot. Just go back to personal loot cause group loot rewards luck only not work by running to eventually get something.

PL and older loot system is still better for me. Why?

  • No drama. Its all personal loot.
  • New players can roll on group loot while you still need it.
  • Can pass gear to others (improvement can be done for gear with ilvl upgrade but I don’t need too.)
  • Coins still better than vault. (my expectations always low on vault due to massive loot table)
  • No bad luck protection?
  • Cannot roll on alt spec gear most of the time for group loot.

This is my time to shine!

Dog :poop:

Never have I been more motivated to not set foot in a raid and im going to go ahead and throw my weight behind this being one of the worst decisions made for DF of them all.

Thankfully M+ has been spared this cancerous decision otherwise i’d see no reason to remain.

Boring… Very boring.

don’t do it, it’s a waste of time to engage with this person. they will ignore whatever you find and then report you if your reply is too mean.

Who are you?

don’t worry about it :kissing_heart:

Yup… 3 days in a row is kind of frustrating that’s for sure. Especially on one of the only games requiring a monthly membership fee.

If one believes the headlines in the news… Activision Blizzard may do better to worry about customer service and game content rather than the girls in skirts running around their offices.
