This one is a “no no” and automated, if you do it enough times. Auto-suspension, from the forums. Don’t ask me how IK
Trust me, Blizz mods aren’t dumb. I know for a fact they can see that stuff
I’ll have to dig through the Vanilla Classic forums, but people (not everyone) were abusing the Squelch system, in BGs (mostly pre-mades). If no one from the pre-made was a leader, they would trick the BG leader into saying something, so they could report them for “spam”, get them to be Squelched (which forces a DC and kicks them from the BG) and hopefully one of the pre-made members got the leadership role.
These extra report categories don’t scare me. IK it’s Blizz’s way trying to ignore…I mean “prioritize” their reports.
Wait…does this mean Squelches are going away? I take that back. I think maybe just the Silence penalty. I think the Squelch is still necessary against gold sellers.
Not just Mirasol. I’ve been doing it, too.
No, squelches aren’t going away, and neither are the awful penalties associated with one.
Oops, I’m so sorry! I was in a hurry when I typed that and forgot to add you. I didn’t intend to ignore the fact that you were as well.
I’ve played Vanilla Classic during both its prime and when BC and SoM came out, I noticed folks that “can’t find groups” is because they’re not really looking nor trying.
For example, I’ve seen many people say, they stare at LFG / Trade Chat waiting for somebody ELSE to say “LFM”. That’s not how you get a group going.
Another one that grinds my gears are those who spam “DPS LFG”. This is another one that’s just waiting around for somebody ELSE to to formulate a group.
Then, there’s the excuses of “well, I don’t have time to formulate a group. It takes an hour to form. I only have time for the dungeon.” The irony of that is that these same people will sit in my group, as I do the work, recruiting and still do the dungeons
Sorry, these people are just lazy and just don’t want to do the work required to getting a dungeon group, together.
I have no sympathy for people that don’t do the work required to achieve what they’re seeking. This is Vanilla Classic. Unlike BC and unless we have a Lock with Soul Shards, you gotta walk to the dungeon still
Drives me nuts!
be careful that might get you into trouble with that type of language
It’s okay, with the power of historical revisionism and memory-holing combined we can write him as whatever manner of villain best serves our narrative at the moment.
No, there still seems to be an automated squelch mechanism. Just that once a GM reviews what happened, they’re more likely to hand out a temporary ban now than a silence as a penalty, because silences reportedly weren’t working very well as a deterrent.
if you get triggered by swear words, chances are you are too young to be playing anything online, let alone an MMO.
You seem to not understand the concept of friendship. Giving and taking for mutual benefit.
Paid boosting is a mutual benefit as well. Seller gets gold, buyer gets what they wanted.
There is 0 difference between paid boosting and “carried by a friend” other than gold not being exchanged.
Welcome to the end of player interaction.
It won’t be worth getting reported and possibly banned by anyone with a bug up their butt.
Turn off chat and forget about queuing up for any content where the possibility exists where other players can abuse the reporting feature.
And god forbid you have an opinion not endorsed by the terminally woke.
But I suspect that’s by design.
I take it you don’t have many friends
You are really trying to stretch that flawed opinion, I see why you avoid responding to me.
Honestly the social contract just looks like a TLDR version of the rules we already signed up for. /shrug
What Blizzard did to Arthas wasn’t fair, now was it?
Just sayin’.
Evilmuffin knows what’s up.
He was under the influence ppl. We want justice for Arthas or I do
