Imagine thinking this apology thread was going to end up as anything but a bunch of weirdos white knighting this thread while other people point out how stupid OP is for being a part of that community at all.
Bonus points if someone goes “it’s just a meme, bro, I like those kinds of memes” while completing missing the point of the apology the OP was stating as they admit it wasn’t just a meme, it’s a crappy outlook on life.
How wonderful it must be to imagine oneself in a world where posting a public apology on a public forum where anyone can post and respond as they want would elicit anything else but a storm of mockery and eye-roll inducing simping.

I can tell that right now, again if the imgur album posted yesterday is what the OP is apologizing for, that you’re right. I don’t know the people. Based on the screenshots? I’m better off for it. I don’t want to fall in with crowds like that. Given the timestamps are like mid October, I can’t give a benefit of the doubt and for sure say they’ve done a full turn from there. But maybe down the road if they do keep on track, sure I’d be down to chat with them once or twice.

This is correct. This is why people griping about “cancel culture” are for the most part absolute dorks. There are exceptions like if it’s genuinely YEARS ago and the person’s turned a new leaf for good. But maybe if you don’t want consequences, don’t do the bad move in the first place?

Well…if I keep getting affected by other people’s words and behaviors, I won’t ever be able to live in peace.
I can’t control others behaviors or words they use. But I can ignore them and detach myself from what they do.
The most happiest gay/trans folks I have met are the ones that don’t give a S of what others think or say about them.

Like I said, I haven’t been able to track between the names in the screenshots and the guild of the OP. So pardon me for being general, but what’s wrong with condemning those screenshots regardless?
Most is not all of them either.
