I’m looking at returning to the game for the anniversary event (if what has been seen on various sites for the dragon mount is to be believed) and was wanting to create a few new characters on my realm before I get my new PC next year (I’m very particular to names for my characters). My question is, how many characters are allowed to be created per realm? With all the new races in the game I get confused easily about this.
I know that it is 50 characters overall across all servers, but does that cover classic as well?
Thank you for any responses and apologies again if this is in the wrong forum.
Thank you for the replies, I really appreciate it.
It helps to know now that I don’t have to create characters on my realm’s sister server (or whatever the proper term is for connected realms) so I can make each class and race combo for lore purposes.
last i heard it was up to 16 per server on retail/current wow/bFA 50 per wow account, regardless of number of servers. as for classic its 10 per server, and in relation to pvp servers only 1 factions allowed so if you have 1 ally toon already on a classic pvp no horde are allowed on it however they are allowed on another pvp server instead for example.
It was already covered in the two replies prior to the one you quoted, but in 8.1.5 it was changed to allow all fifty on a single realm, if you so desired.
