I just wanted to say, from a visual stand point, Amirdrassil might have the best overall set of transmogs of any raid like, ever. I don’t think there’s been this many absolute bangers since… maybe tomb of sargeras? There’s a few eh ones, but the only one I genuinely dislike is the hunter one.
The Shaman one is quite literally the best armour set in the entire game. And Shamans (and mail wearers in general) usually get real bad looking sets. but man… the wolves on the shoulders, especially the heroic one… I can’t imagine ever unmogging that on my shaman again.
The DK, DH, and mage ones are also incredible. the DK one you look like one of those dudes from hellraiser, the mage one is just… that hat man, and the fact that it’s kind of a robe but it doesn’t cut off your tabard (a personal pet peeve of many robe sets). The Shaman one does this too… has a skirt thingy but doesn’t cut your tabard off. the belt does but it’s a cool belt so I give it a pass. The demon hunter one overall isn’t that great, BUT, the helmet alone is so cool that for me it just brings the whole set to s tier. Honestly I’d use that helmet with literally any set. I mean it replaces your head with a blazing fireball for cryin’ out loud!
Moving down a tier but still amazing is the priest and monk set. I personally like the tomb of sargeras priest set more, as well as the aberrus one, but this ones still great. If it’s angel shoulders moved like the shaman set it could easily be one of the best, but I guess we can’t have moving shoulders on every set. The monk one is great but only the mythic/elite colour tints for me. Don’t really like the colours on the other tints.
Unpopular opinion but I also really like the paladin and warrior one. Most people I’ve talked to think both are lame, and I agree they’re not the best of their respective classes, but they’re still solid. The paladin one has super awesome crusader vibes to it, and the warrior one makes you look like a hulking juggernaught… great on my orc.
The druid one is decent. Not much to say about it other then it’s druidy and a decent looking set.
Rogue, Warlock, and Evoker are all meh to me. I think for both rogue and lock it’s a case of there were so many good looking sets for them in vanilla, tbc, wrath, that more recent sets in general just struggle to fit the theme and look good. But they’ve always had plenty of good older options to choose from. Evoker one just isn’t really for me. Personally liked the vault one more, but I don’t really play evoker anyway. I don’t dislike any of these 3, they’re just meh
That just leaves hunter, which I think is the only one that’s gross. But there’s only been a handful of hunter sets in wow history that I like anyway so what’s new.
What do you guys think? not taking power into consideration at all, I think this is one of the best sets of… sets we’ve had in years, just excellent all around. Especially following Aberrus of which the only sets I really liked were the priest and DK one. Vault ones weren’t too amazing either but if there’s one thing I liked about the Vault ones it’s that they were all thematic to eachother. You could look at any 2 classes Vault sets and say “yup those were from the same raid”, and I think that’s more true to vault then any other raid.
DK is like a leftover SL set, DH is just comical at best, Druid is meh, Evoker looks the same as everything else they gave Evokers, Hunter at least doesn’t suck like most of their sets do, and the rest are mediocre at best, to me.
T6 was Black Temple right? the one that got remade in Tomb of Sargeras? Yes that raid also had AMAZING sets. Paladin, Priest, Warlock, Mage, Warrior, Shaman… All absolute bangers. And none that I can think of that were bad… Except hunter… Lord that hunter set with the stupid eyeball pauldron thingy was dumb looking, but hey that’s a common theme with hunter sets. But yes I agree that tier is in contention for the best tier visually the games ever had.
Was a REALLY dk flavored set compared to the other 2 this xpac (I didn’t hate s2 either, but s3 just blew it outa the water, plus the fact the mouth moves is great)

I knew some of those takes were gonna be unpopular. but I do genuinely like most of them. You like that hunter set though?
My hunter has the tbc og gladiator set with wolfslayers sniper mogged for marksman and the shadowlands kyrian set with the kyrian bow for beastmaster. And uh… I can’t think of any other set that I like for it. And that Kyrian one isn’t even hunter! its a general mail set XD
The shaman set does look really good. It might be the first mail set that looks like mail. The monk sets is pretty bad though. All of the monk sets have been meh this expansion.

I think I see it doing a yell. it’s super subtle but MAN that’s a nice touch holy hell. That set didn’t need anymore bonus points but it’s getting em! DKs have historically had some amazing sets too, so it’s hard to pick a favourite. I’m rocking the pvp one (which is blue) with shadowmourne and that shadowed mail tabard from the trading post a couple months ago, and man it looks so good.
I won’t argue the validity of that. If not best, I’d certainly give it a top 5… I’m just a sucker for those howling spirit wolf shoulders
I dunno man, that paladin set you’re wearing is not that good in my opinion. I dislike it. But hey, you do you, that’s your opinion and I celebrate it.
Gotta be real - I think MOST of the tier sets this expansion were pretty cracked, not gonna lie! S1 was a bit of a mixed bag for me, but what I wasn’t 100% on the with the models themselves, the colors were still cool! A lot of the PVP variations of the tier sets are really good too!
Aberrus had some great ones. Priest, Paladin, Warrior, Mage, and Shaman come to mind in particular, but Amirdrassil has some awesome ones! Paladin seemed a little…clunky, but it’s grown on me! I love the colors, and I’ve incorporated other parts of it in mogs!
