Americas account but shop sends me to EU

so i’ve always had an Americas account but when i go to the shop it sends me to the EU shop. says i have an inactive EU account on same Americas account (have no idea why). i know i can change the eu to us in url and log back in but i would rather it all just be Americas, thanks

When going to the shop, how do you get there? Are you clicking in the Battle.net Desktop App or through the website?

If the app, I would make sure that your region there is set to the Americas. You can usually see that by clicking on your BattleTag in the upper right corner of the app.

On the website, maybe try clearing your cookies/cache for your browser? Usually it defaults based on your current location, so unless you are VPN’d in EU or something, it should direct you to the North American page.

You do have an old EU WoW license on your Battle.net account, created back in 2014, but that shouldn’t impact where you are being directed.

Thank you for response. I use both the desktop app and website while being logged in to my US (Americas) account. both send me to the EU shop. I can change the eu to us in the shop url than log back in but it should just go to the America shop.

That is very weird.

Glad it isn’t preventing you from reaching the site at all, but it is a little frustrating to have to change it all the time.

The Website Bug Report forum might be a good place to drop a report so that team can hopefully take a look.

I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but trying to log into account management last night was also routing through the EU domain, maybe they’re related.

Self-memo to bug report after work.

I had this problem before. In my settings I had language set to “English (UK)” as it’s close to Canadian English, and that made the system redirect me to EU versions of some Blizzard sites. Annoying.
