[AMD] Missing character textures after 9.0

Thank you

WoW may now be using SSE4 instructions from the processor, which are not present in older amd models such as Athlon 2 and phenom II, and APUs A6, A8 and others. any other current game from blizzard I run without problems with a phenom II quad core, other games with newer graphics engines and full of details works with these processors too, others don’t. it’s up to the developer to provide compatibility, I hope blizzard creates a fix.

Two more here.
Computer #1: AMD Phenom II X4 965, 1279MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
Computer #2: AMD Phenom II X4 955, 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti

I know these are older computers (#1 is getting upgraded this weekend) but we’ve had ZERO issues with either computer since BFA started and #2 is regularly at 75+ fps.

Adding my voice to the thread just to be sure. AMD Phenom here as well, hopefully this doesn’t have to end on me buying an entirely new laptop.

So much for my hopes for this morning’s maintenance.

Thanks

I hate this, it’s the same story from Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Agents of Mayhem and other “big releases”, they turn blind on “old and dated” AMD CPUs and pretend everyone already has a current-gen Ryzen or something like that. Even worse when you can see people using AM3/AM3+ plataforms running game smoother than people with LGA1151’s

I really hope they fix this. I’m currently on an Athlon II X4 645, it’s old, but at this point i’m not enraged for myself, i’m enraged for people who have significantly better CPUs than mine and can’t run the game properly, it’s ALWAYS like this.

Adding myself to the lot. Game runs fine, just missing textures.
AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
Radeon RX 570

Same Issue here. Game running at 60fps with the AMD Phenom II x4 b60 and the GTX MSI GX 1060, but for some reason cant see hair. Well done, blizzard.

Tried all the standard stuff, repair, drivers, addons, graphics settings, etc.

Same here - hardly feels worth adding on at this point but yes, AMD Phenom II X4 975 (really maxing out the phenom II at this point, I know) !
This reminds me of the Destiny 2 launch, where the Phenom 2’s worked fine in beta but not after launch. Though here the problem was apparently there before launch. While this has restored my resolve to upgrade, I’d really rather not, yet?

Gunna be honest. If they cannot fix this, or do not want to fix this. It is a lot more cost effective for me to just find another MMO to play, over paying money I don’t have to upgrade my PC :disappointed:

Or upgrade and play something better.

Same. Honestly can’t afford upgrading almost all of my pc in Argentina spending basically a fortune.

Apex Legends was worse, community found a fix, but EA didn’t let players with the fix enter in the tutorial, matches and etc

I am having this issue as well. It’s a real bummer. The game runs great otherwise. This is my processor according to dxdiag.

Amen to that Brother

My PC is 8 years old AMD A6-3620. After the patch, everything looks and runs fine, except the character textures. I know I need a new computer, but it just isn’t possible right now. I guess after having an uninterrupted sub for 7 years, I will have to take a break. It may sound silly, but it’s just too heartbreaking to see my beautiful bloodelf look like this :frowning:
