Yeah, I’m waiting. I don’t think AMD can keep up with supply though.

Zen 2 = 7nm (includes PS5 and Xbox)
Zen 3 = 7nm
Laptop Zen 2 (Renoir) = 7nm (OEMs making noise. Big demand)
Desktop Renoir = 7nm (SI only)
GPU = 7nm (includes PS5 and Xbox)

Still using TSMC though, which is a pretty mature and established fab process.

Meanwhile nvidia apparently is struggling with Samsung’s yield, IIRC.

I love how they included the shadowlands trailer in the intro scene… but they dont include WoW in any benchmarks :pensive:

Not gonna lie…the slides look damned impressive.

Like Sal said AMD left GlobalFoundries going fabless through TSMC so they need to keep up with demand and chips used in the PS5 & Xbox are a SoC not separate chips for the CPU and GPU.

Also like the “Rage” mode - a throwback to the days of ATI old.

probably because Blizzard said the graphics are not final so they can’t create drivers for the game to offer the best performance

LMAO now we get wow talk

all we need is crucial to get back into the game (like when they sold ATI cards) then you can have a custom video card & NVMe drive combo across two PCI-e ports???

$649

Not bad at all

6800 non XT - $579, faster than 2080 ti

dam that 6900xt caught me off guard. Also love how they did not fall for the 8k marketing ploy.

No ray tracing numbers.

Video codec is still gray area too. RDNA 1 video codec is crap.

I have a 5700xt and can confirm. playing a game (1440p) and then trying to watch a 4k 60fps YT video will make it crawl.

Leaks indicate it’s close to Turing level. To me, that’s fine, as its a gimmick anyway.

havent’ had that personally, but i only watch my videos at 1080p while i’m playing games on my other display.
