Am the only one who actually likes Void Elves?

I would assume they do or they can because both factions of Pandaren speak Pandaren but don’t quote me on that either because like you I have never played a Pandaren character so who knows. Haha.

Could you imagine how much that would change if void elves got Nightmare Druids?

He said in an interview the entire idea behind Void Elves was so that the Alliance could get the Blood Elf model and be close to a High Elf.

Honestly, I’m in love with the changes!

I used to like void elves a lot.
They were super cool emo elves who were infused with the void.

Now their very core identity is being diluted because fan boys who won’t let go of the past won’t stop screaming and crying how much they need and deserve a now horde race.

Now void elves are nothing compared to what they once were
Blood elves are nothing compared to what they once were

Honestly at this point elves are pretty much dead to me and the factions are worse off than they were before.

Oh for sure there’d be a huge influx of Void Elves… especially if Blizzard went all out wiht the druid forms giving them the Entropic Embrace effect.

Like I said, giving Void Elves even one of those three classes would give them a chance to unseat Night Elves and possibly even Humans as the top two races.

I know I’d be SORELY tempted to race change my druid if they did that.

Based on the number of Void Elves I see lately, I think our race is doing fine. I’m sure some are doing it for the High Elf features, but once they see how cool we are they’ll be converts to the Void. I love it when an evil plan comes together :purple_heart:

I think they are pretty cool.

They’re just terrible

I want to like mine, but it has terrible luck with drops and rewards. I ain’t got time for that. It seems to be a theme with my BE and VE chars… Blizzard doesn’t want me playing them.

I like my Void elves. The Void story leaves lots of room for great story telling…such as Blood elf families torn apart.

Say, a perhaps naive and impressionable young Blood elf who followed Umbric with never a thought to the consequences… suddenly he is torn from his faction, his family, his home. Forced onto a faction sworn to kill those he loves…

Even my hard hearted Blood Elf feels a pang for his little brother, forever exiled and now living in that cold stone city.

I don’t mind them. If they had the option for druid or paladin I’d play one. I guess my alliance priest could be a void elf shadow priest.

(Statement): Unit Exacitor will not forgive Blizzard for the complete utter travesty that Void Elves are.

(Commentary): This race could’ve been interesting, but they were flawed from the moment they were made, and that is a massive problem. We could’ve been seeing hooded and robed elves throughout the expansions appearing every time something void related happened, slowly seeding the idea of this group’s existence. In WoD they could’ve been in Shadowmoon Valley, working with the Alliance to really cement that future development of them going Alliance!

(Commentary): But the real reason Blizzard has earned my ire with Void Elves is not their utter failure to properly seed them as a race or faction in the game to begin with, but their inability to properly capitalize on the race’s storyline in any satisfying manner after they were added.

(Commentary): Each and every time something void related has risen in BFA the Void Elves have been absent for it. Artificial Old God in Uldir? Nothing. People getting N’Zoth’s eyes on their forehead? Nothing. Fighting Azshara and her void-wielding Naga? Nothing. A cure to the whispers is needed? Nothing. N’Zoth is assaulting the world with armies of void-casters and void abominations? Well, they showed up here; as enemies in the Vision of Stormwind.

(Conclusion): Void Elves deserve so much more development and presence than they have received thus far, and Blizzard’s either unwillingness or inability to properly develop their racial storyline, after which their race has been named, is perhaps the single most disgusting display of disrespect I have seen yet shown towards players. It gives off the impression they were added to check a box rather than because they any kind of well-thought-out and passionately-added race to the setting.

I love them.

Really hoping they give us more corrupted features going forwards. Like, yeah, I’ll take blonde hair and blue tattoos and stuff, but give me glowing purple ones, toggleable void form, more tendies, extra eyes - ect ect.

I am also a fan of what they really are. I like the idea behind how they came to be.

I always liked void elves even if their lore is weak. I think the new high elf custom options they are receiving is nice but I hadn’t considered until someone said something that it might have messed up the chances at receiving more void elf themed customization.

The hair color drama shouldn’t even be an issue though. We’re WAY overdue for just getting a color slider for choosing whatever hair color we want. Them sticking to preset colors is disappointing and feels super outdated.

hmm. .love me some Void Elves… their concept is groovy

Even with the new skin tones i’m keeping my Void Elf the same. What’s the point of playing a Void Elf if all you’re gonna do is make it a Blood Elf? Yuck.

You act like Blizzard doesn’t do this with any other races. Blizzard has always typically pushed back certain races and pushed others to the foreground.

I would even go so far as to say we’ve seen more void elves than gnomes this expac. Both regular AND mecha… When’s the last time you saw any kind of gnome involved in a cinematic or anything?

While void elves haven’t been the main point of BfA, we’ve BEEN there present at all the events.

Blizzard needs to give ALL of the allied races more backstory. Even with Nightborne. You don’t hear anything about them whatsoever unless it’s Thalyrssa and Lor’themar.

We just kinda recruited everyone and their stories fell by the wayside.

(Commentary): The problem is that Void Elves are too new to leave like other races. Other races have all been developed before being made playable. We know their culture, we know their stories, for most their stories have reached a satisfying conclusion! Take the Nightborne. We saved them from Elisande, the Burning Legion, and their own addiction to magic. Their story is over, and during it we got to see so much of their culture that they’re incredibly well fleshed out. Even then, when they’re relevant to a story being told, such as fighting Azshara, they’re front and center for it.
