Did you ever wonder “Am I the customer or the product being sold”, as in Blizzard puts in a few cosmetics to lure in unsuspecting players to feed malcontent PVP players?
This is like the only weakness of moonbeam, it’s enormous xD
Also firestorm, if I see one across the map I know there’s someone over there with at least 1 bad skill I can probably take on.
Why still be there?
Like, is this game mode actually fun for (benefit of the doubt) players not just there to farm PvEers for lols? Far as I can tell, Plunderstorm has two types of players: ones that just want the plunder so they can get the items they want so they can quit the game mode until next time, and players who get off on making that as hard as possible for them. There’s really a third group there just because they like Plunderstorm?
Fun? No.
I FORCED myself to do it for the Mogs & Mounts that I wanted. Then I GFTO.
Im ecstatic Im done!
This.
There are games out there like that. If I wanted that id Quit wow and go play one
Im not a fan of the Battle Royale genre in general.
While i prefer WOW’s take on it compared to others (mainly due to being focused on spells/melee combat rather than gun play) the thing is balanced poorly.
It was fun a little, alot better than last time as far as the grind, problem with the event if you dont get key spells you gonna lose and thats not fun
No, you are not the only one.
Nah people just don’t post about what they like or enjoy
I’ll answer your thread title with another question:
Are you the only one playing it? If so, then yes. You are the only one who likes it.
If no, then no. Others like it too.
Hope that helped. Have fun.
This is literally what the event is designed to be. Last man standing. Waiting for another play to get to a point where they can counter you, kill you, make you lose your progress.
While I can understand the frustration of dying right away. It will, (it damn well better), push you to be a better player quickly. Once you learn, you live longer. Eventually you win. Often enough, you win more. It’s part of the structural design of being a better player.
I don’t hate it, I think it’s fine for what it is. I tend to do more for the cosmetics.
As for the gameplay, it’s… something. What I find interesting is the combat isn’t auto attack based it plays more along the lines of a hack and slash if that makes sense. The issue for me is it feels pretty flat.
I think we need to do more of that because it probably helps the developers understand what players enjoy and encourages them to invest more in that kind of content.
It’s something to do if you’ve got a spare 15 minutes.
I enjoy it and appreciate that they gave us a pvp system that’s more engaging and balanced than the addon cooldown tracking mess that’s retail pvp. The rewards are great, basically freebie tmogs, mounts, and pets. If you dont like it, dont play it as they say
Correct. You are the only one who likes Plunderstorm. Nobody else does. Blizz made this entire game just for you. You are an extremely important person.
Hate is a strong word to use towards a temporary game mode, IMO. I don’t mind PS but players who make it their singular goal to kill you at level 1 when there are other things to kill are super annoying.
When I can get some plunder and get the mini quest done in the current map, I consider it a win. People wanting to kill me faster before I can find a wall to hug are fine. They are helping me get to the next map faster.
I usually go to the outskirts which is 50/50 sometimes there will be a griefer hunting down your lvl 1. But I do enjoy the times I don’t see anyone in sight.
I agree. Today I tried to run from one of them, but he seemed determined to kill me lol.
For me at least. It’s short, compact, simple enough to get into, and has enough nuance / skill expression to make winning or doing well feel rewarding. It feels familiar enough with the map, the physics, and things behave the way I expect them to.
I mean yeah, they’re the ones fighting eachother to win as the final rings start closing.
Much better than last time. I can usually get over 1000 coins each run, so it’s not as difficult as last time, when i didn’t finish the grind.
