I would play demo, but I hate the Felguard. Would rather have the option to choose any demon and not tank performance for doing so. Let me have a permanent imp buddy.
currently all 3 warlock spec need a lot of help towards patch 11.05, but blizzard has not even trye to improve the class in any way, there already videos on youtube forecasting warlocks doom for next patch.

jumo to 9:28 minute on the time stamp, warlock the number one loser for next patch.
I’ve loved Demo, MOP Demo was sublime. The lock is my taylor / engineer solo dude, has his own guild to store crap.
Demo or die lol, He does 8’s like candy , downed Zek at 590. It’s very relaxing with all the engineer goodies. (Lootarang FTW )
Demo Warlock is my main, so yeah, I enjoy it. There’s nothing better than summoning an army of demons, and Implosion is never not fun.
I would like to see some buffs to our summoned demons (dogs, Vilefiend/Char hound and G:FG) damage, or at least their initial damage, giving them some punch when you let them loose.
And I would like Tyrant to be instant cast.
I think Demo would be more enjoyable for me if we had any kind of build that didn’t use Wild Imps… they kind of annoy me a bit.
I did notice that leveling one right now… The only movement options are procs, which doesn’t feel reliable at all.
If we had MOP Demo I’d play nothing but warlock
MoP classic when?
Fun yes. I am guessing you haven’t really done much M+ or Raid content.
I actually love the way Demo plays, one reason I main a warlock this xpac (I regret this decision). Had I known how awful the warlock class devs are I wouldn’t have bothered playing this class.
Demo / Destro and even Aff (some what) is fun, most locks are only asking that devs fine tune the damage for us locks to perform better and inline with other classes who are currently face rolling us effortlessly in every content.
Still, Delves, World bosses, and other world content I do really enjoy playing Demo.
Demo for delves is indeed pretty great. But Delves are not true endgame content. Demo falls off a bit in m+ and raid because mechanics are incredibly movement-heavy and demo has a ton of hard casts. You can plan for this somewhat by banking cores for as long as possible, but you can only do that so much. I miss the mobility that Demo had in S1 of DF. Between cores and instant HoG procs, I could almost move as much as a hunter. Unfortunately Blizz decided to double down on us needing to be an immobile turret, and forgot to tune up our damage to compensate for movement dropping it.
I tried demon in H7 and queen.
not good at all due to heavy movement limited your casting, or maybe my haste is still low.
Demos pretty solid right now in arenas.
The latest buffs put them right where it feels good for damage.
Obviously its not the strongest spec in the game but theres no issues playing.
Most of the fights in Nerubar Palace are much more difficult with demo than affliction or destro. I found myself basically stuck to destro because I can shadow burn twice while moving and not lose a ton of DPS. Affliction is slightly worse feeling, the dots help keep the damage up, but demo feels atrocious especially on queen. Basically felt like I was cancelling a cast 50% of the time and it was a crap shoot if I had a demon bolt proc up to try to fill the movement. Not to mention having to move in the middle of trying to set up a solid tyrant, then whiffing because of timers running out on dogs and vile fiend.
However, demo is my go-to spec for delves and non-pvp world content. Felguard is heckin tanky and holds threat well + has interrupt/stun.
For me it isn’t the damage. Is the constant need to be casting literally everything in that 1st go.
Tyrant should be instant already no reason for it to have a cast with how much of a mess mechanics are getting.
Something needs to happen where the cores, less rng. No idea what that developer was thinking in trying to reduce them and making them all rng.
And can we can some instant proc for our build up. Either that or revert the dog core nerf. Like there’s no reason for that to have happened in the 1st place.
There are specs that have maintained the mid to top top spots in raid and I don’t see them getting heavy handed nerfs. Actually some of them have received buffs. Meanwhile the mid low specs just remain there.
Thankfully, this has happened!
Been playing demo almost exclusively this season, having a ton of fun - and thankfully we are getting buffs.
Should make certain dungeons like Siege of Boralus, etc, alot less annoying
Definitely my go to when soloing delves or partying without a tank. Voidwalkers can’t even hold aggro.
It is because including myself, these people want to push for more. Either m+ or mythic raiding. it is a first world problem.
I’m a Demo main/enthusiast. I love it.
I genuinely haven’t enjoyed the spec since it got reworked in WoD.
I prefer old Demo tbqh, or at least the thematic concept behind it.
Demo now is far better than the utter disaster and travesty it was at first sure, but the spec just isn’t very fun to play.
It’s not just the spec though that makes it unfun, it’s the spec in combination with all of the rest of WoWs problems.
WoW has the worst visual acuity of any MMO I’ve ever played. As much as the concept of a general summoning an army of demons sounds cool, the mess on my screen just exacerbates the visual and UI disaster that is wow with add-ons.
Then the spec just isn’t very fun in and of itself. It puts me to sleep playing it.
Dps is not a factor to me. Never has been and never will be. In terms of if i play something. I play what’s mechanically fun and cool
Demo isn’t it in the context of wow.
It’s funny cuz i loved guild wars one necromancer so much. It was so cool. Blizzard just cannot make classes like that though.
