Did an LFR to see the update.
Going from 20-30 fps to 70-90. Huge upgrades

See my post above. One of my Online WoW friends had the same issue he though his computer was about to take a
Hes SOOO GLAD thats all it was
Iāll probably skip this generation anyway, but definitely if I were to buy right now Iād probably just drive down to or have a buddy grab me a 7600X3D from microcenter.
Hereās to hoping that nobodyās PC in my house takes a poop
did you manually update the BIOS or was it an OEM push? that is really silly for OEMs to automatically update something like that.
I hate updating my BIOS because I always lose my OC settings
edit: an d since Iām on intelā¦every BIOS update is a performance loss.
They LEGALLY had to. It was to fix Micro code on 13th and 14th gen which was the same socket hes on. It was literally Degrading CPUs rapidly
iām gonna roll the dice I guess.
My 13700kf is a first batch from late 2022. 2 years later, no issues. original first run bios. itās even OC to 5.6ghz all P-core.
i understand security issues but really, iām not important enough to matter. and aināt broke donāt fix
Update that bios anyway!
Its not hard to turn XMP back on
nah, itās fine. i donāt want to lose something like 15% performance
No it would be your whole CPU. Original Bios was pumping 1.7v
WAY TO HIGH soc
i think it really depends on board partners.
Also, I set my own values due to the OC anyway. 1.3v vcore, 1.2v soc, if i remember correctly
thereās other values, but i donāt really remember given i did it two years ago. part of why i donāt want to update, donāt want to go through all that trial and error all over again
This is why the majority of the people I know IRL had 0 issues on 13th Gen. They Use voltage raders like HWinfo and ALL do this. They manually tune every single setting voltage wise
have done this for my 8700k, 9900k, 10900kf, and now 13700kf.
the 8700k has been at 5ghz 1.375v vcore since 2017 lmao, still used daily by my daughter.
9900k also 5ghz all core, 1.34v vcore since 2019. 10900k 5.2ghz all core 1.38v since 2021.
of these the 8700k was my favorite.
this is what my frequency looks like 90% of the time lol
i donāt even play games anymore
i think my E cores do most of the work since right now youtube is the only thing on to explain the 4.1ghz boost on the e cores lol
Raid was running around 35-40 fps. Still not great.
OP is limited by that budget CPU, RAM clock or not. Thereās so many in-game pitfalls to framerate, though, such as upscaling hurting performance, or the WeakAuras model issue.
Reaching up to 90 FPS on Mythic Broodtwister took a lot of hoops, since that fight is only tied with Queen Ansurek for horrific performance.
