most of us got over that years ago with our own custom weakaura huds, that particular part of our gameplay hasn’t changed since legion and is basically second nature to all dk mains at this point.
nah, i have separate macros that stack erw and slappy hands vs without slappy hands for a reason. obviously you would always want to use ERW, but you don’t always want to use slappy hands. or maybe you do want to use slappy hands for a mechanic but save ERW for gargoyle for an upcoming burst requirement.

Ok… lets talk philosophy so i can break this down for ya.
you say that button bloat is not open ended or subjective and give “one” opinion to it’s meaning/definition.
Then tell me who gets to decide that your definition of it is the definitive definition. If it’s humans that give meaning to “button bloat”, as in a word or phrase that has meaning to categorize or define something to be communicated, THAT VERY THING is in fact subjective and thus different for each person unless people who communicate agree on it’s meaning.
This is akin to the “Chair” topic in philosophy where in they ask the question, “what is Chairness”.
We can state qualities in the physical realm of an object, such that an object has legs, a seat, or that it has a back. And we can communicate to each other by way of a word such as “chair” to try and convey an object has those stated qualities. BUT that does not mean EVERY chair is the same because unless we as people first understand and give meaning to “chairness” and understand we socially give meaning to a word and in language accept the givin meaning then we will inevitability end up with a word that is subjective that means something different to each person.

Some people talk about “button Bloat” in the context of buttons used in a short window of time or rotation. And other talk about it it terms of EVERY skill available to a class or spec. So you see we already have 3 different subjective versions of “button bloat” depending on the context and what the reader/player understands of the phrase “button bloat” and what they have learned it to be from others and what they themselves accept as it’s meaning.
TLDR: words to define something are created and thus subjective to each person and are different from measurable factual points which despite what “we” might call them still retain the same physical properties.
Festering Wounds is #1 on the chopping block when we get a revamp, and Vile Contagion by extension. So many ppl hate wounds.
I agree, although the version from the end of SL was even more fun. The Death’s Certainty legendary that increased DC damage and provided Defile CDR allowed us to basically have DnD/Defile/Death’s Due all the time. Wouldn’t mind seeing that come back as a talent or something similar that auto drops defiles for us, similar to how Rets can auto drop consecration when using Blade of Justice.

I’ve said something similar many times. There’s just way too much left over garbage in Unholy’s cooldowns.
UA should fold in ERW’s effects if talented so a 1.5m CD + haste + damage + wounds and if ERW is talented increase the haste provided + resource generation.
Army should be a passive that summons cannon fodder minions based on rotation or alternatively just be combined with Garg as our 3min cd.
UB/DT/Apoc should just be unified. If you’re not using them together then you’re playing wrong and they don’t do much immediate damage anyway. They almost combined DT and Apoc back in SL. Now is the right time to go through with a change like that, especially if we can drop wounds at the same time.
We’d have one 3min cd, one 1.5min cd, and one 45s cd + Abomb Limb which probably could go down to 1.5m too.
This is my main issue… played DK since Warlords and now I feel like all I do is spam death coil non stop. I feel like we are flooded with runic power. Unholy needs a pretty sunstantial rework i think
