As the title suggests, people out there have such complex keybinds and such but im still using 1234 like the default, I do have a mouse with side buttons I also use and I use keys like q,r,g,f,e and shift+q and stuff because there are a lot of buttons in the game but ive had a pretty basic and nooby keybind system for the years ive been playing and I still can raid heroic fine… I also use the default UI instead of some fancy UI addon, am I missing on something?

Use whatever keybinds work for you and you can do a lot with the default ui

I still use 1-7 as my keybinds for other games as well since I’ve got a mouse with numbers on the side as well, other then that I also use Shift+W,E,A,R,S etc etc when I need to.
how do you move without W,A,S?
I use 1-7 and Q, W and E as well. I don’t have any fancy addons for my keybinds.

He uses Shift PLUS those keys, or at least that’s how I read it.
But to answer your original point, pretty much everyone I know uses at least 1-4 for keybinds still. They’re too convenient not to.

I still use W,A,S to move around, just with the keybinding I go Shift+W or whatever and hold down the two mouse buttons to move in that period.
Nah.
I still use 1 through = for my main bar, then I use Q, E, R , T, F, `, and side mouse buttons with and without shift modifiers for everything else.

I bind my W to one of the extra bars you can add to your screen in the interface option of the menu. Usually that’s my CC or Interrupt button.
I mean what do you rebind your forward movement to if not W
I use my mouse to move around. I also use my auto run key as well when I’m lazy.

Basically all my keybinds are around my movement key WASD
So like 1 -5
qert , fg , zxcv
Then alt + all of the above
Plus a few mouse buttons
I have no issues in any game

Yes you have to use it in reverse, but seriously I have used default ui since vanilla. Have always had my rotational spells on the 1-9 bar and other spells kind of spread out where I could fit them in with mouse/keybinds and such then all my cds in a row next to eachother above those. Sometimes I still have a bad habit of looking to see if my wings is coming off cd from the default bar when I have a weakaura in the middle of my screen saying the same thing and it even has a timer lol.

My keybinds are on 1-7 q e r t f g c and I use macros for most classes that make it so if I mouseover a target that is hostile I will use a damaging spell and a friendly target will get a helpful spell. I really like the simplicity and keybinding like this I can have a free hand to get a drink or whatever.

that’s an example of my most used macro, healing monk feels SO MUCH BETTER at least to me by making every harmful spell mated with a healing spell so I don’t have to do anything more than change my target.
