Whats up with this? Every group I’m in I can’t help summon because I’m always phased from the group… never had a problem before.

Unfortunately, this has been an known issue since the introduction of layers. However, it seems this issue has only been made worse since phase 2 launch. I see people complaining about this MUCH more often now. I personally think they may have screwed something up when they removed layers from a majority of servers.
As to a working solution, I really don’t know. Back when layers first started, a quick fix was to enter the same instance, it would force you all onto the same layer. You might also be able to get a Warlock to summon, or have someone summon you and maybe that might work? I’ve heard a few different things. Not sure what works and what doesn’t.

Yeah, I guess it was a phase 2 thing because I haven’t played since naxx launch and I never remember this being a consistent issue like this.
Definitely a phase 2 thing.
Did a few UK runs to get the bouquets for the holiday event going on and when we started the group lead was on a different layer.
We zoned in killed first boss and ran out 4 different times. Group lead never got into our same layer that entire time.
none of this works anymore. you can enter the dungeon and be in the same phase/layer sure, but the second you walk out, different layer/phase. same goes for getting summoned. youre stuck with that layer. I was tryin to help my buddy and sat in the party for 30m waiting to get on his layer and it never sent me over to it. its definitely broken right now
Good to note. However, in OP’s context, sounds like walking in would work just fine, considering they’re doing a dungeon. I assume they wouldn’t be zoning out to go do something else together, unless ofc the intention is to reset and go again. Though, the zone in/out thing does nothing to help a situation where 1 or more people need to be summoned.

correct, they can walk in and do the dungeon just fine. even getting summoned, you just wont see them at the stone or be able to interact with them outside of the dungeon (aside from chatting) not sure when/if itll ever get fixed.
We had to zone out to summon someone after booting a disconnect, I was still in a separate phase in the outside world and couldn’t help summon.
