Question for everyone. What are your thoughts on the current state of AV? Generally want to know what others thoughts are from both sides.

PVP gear is welfare gear. AV is a PVE/AFK battleground to obtain that welfare gear.

Like most of the game, it is what you make of it.
I like to switch it up, some games I’ll rush north to afk at Vann, sometimes I’ll hang in field of strife picking off stragglers, maybe help SHB or IWB if it’s under attack.

No one cares they aren’t fixing AV because you have 5 kids and can only play 2 hrs per week.
Make concerted effort worth like 15k honor.
Amount of marks rewarded is correlated with how many objectives you have completed, plus a bonus for winning
On contraire my friend, PvE gear in classic, probably with exception of Naxx, demands a lot and I mean a lot less effort and time spent than end game PvP gear.
PvE = welfare gear. Sorry to kick down your raid pedestal.

Bored out of my skull.
Not really seeing any PvP going on. Didn’t even bother to rank last week. Zzz.
It sucks now. You can do it in a couple of minutes now back to back and it gives you almost no HKs and no honour. You can’t even get into a queue for it anymore because it is so bad now that you can now rush to the end and kill the bosses so it is zero PvP at all.
And that is because everyone is so overpowered that they can take out the AV bosses in less than a minute now in SoD. If AV Bosses are not buffed then we will not see another AV for the rest of the time that we are in SoD. It’s like doing a super easy raid that gives no loot.

PvP in SoD is now just a bunch of people one shotting eachother. The current dev team actually thinks that people like PvP like that.

There is PVP every night in hillsbrad.

How do you not find PVP in AV.
Again, hard to find PVP in AV sitting in the kobold cave.
I have that quest.
Feels weird to do that when there’s objectives to do.
But it gives the turtle trinket so I suppose I should do that.
I would like to see a second AV weekend when that becomes a thing. Make it Old School AV as a separate instance from normal welfare gear AV. AS it’s name implies it is the hold school AV with all the NPC’s mines etc. Make winning one of those award a ton of honor.

When these were deployed on private servers, we discovered one thing:
We still manage to win a game in about 6 minutes.
some games you have 30-40% of the raid afk/doing whatever else

i like it, though they games where ppl dont even kill LTs and commanders make my mind melt. why are you even queing and running south to wait 15min before pull if you’re just going to just skip all the free honor? lol
love playing it on my rank 11s so i dont have to worry about objectives at all and actually get to pvp.
