The AV we’re getting is like a shell of what most of us remember.
It might be close to the version we had at the tail end of Vanilla… but it’s full of bugs and exploits that allow people to skip the mechanics, and it’s really cheapening what we enjoyed about vanilla.
I think that’s why so many people are upset.
The only reason more people aren’t angry about it is that it’s an honor grinding tool at the moment. Nobody is playing AV because it’s fun… and it’s kind of just sad, because when you have to actually follow the mechanics… it’s actually really fun.
But people seem to have lost sight of that.
Imagine playing a game for fun.
There are a lot of residual retail players in classic, and the grind>fun gameplay thing is likely hard to shake.
