It’s the AV that started the horrible PvE racing zerg that’s been in modern WoW for over a decade. I’m very disappointed they aren’t providing the earlier version as well considering both existed in classic.
It’s not the best AV, but it’s not the worst. And yes, people are wildly overreacting.
So we waited for over a decade for “not worst”?
Really? We should take comfort in that?
The only people who are over reacting are the ones who are down playing it and attacking those who wan’t earlier versions.
The av is pretty much no different then it is in live.
Only a few npcs are not there anymore in live.
Its very much the worst version of AV, its an AV where horde are somewhat always forced to turtle hard or alliance will zerge and kill the boss as soon as they cap the keeps gy.
No we waited over a decade for classic…of which AV is roughly .000000001%. Get some perspective. If all you wanted out of this was some long BG, there are literally hundreds of games that allow you to “pvp” in dozens of different ways for as many different lengths of time.
Ita the worst version from vanilla. All that was on the table was 1.5 to 1.12 they literally picked the most watered down version. It’s closer to bfa AV than it is to 1.5 AV.
It will be a race. Players have been programmed to look for the shortest, most convenient path of least resistence. And 1.12 is very easily zerged. So that’s what will happen. Therefore expect the same experience you get in Current WoW’s AV.
1.5-1.7 was DRAMATICALLY different. Way more npcs, and they were far, far stronger. Good luck zerging that. You’d see landmines, you’d have goblin shredders. Two sections of the map that have since been cutoff. Buffed Kornak tearing things up.
Instead…expect a tour bus where the leading rider says, ‘If you look far to your left you’ll see the enemy team passing by.’
Then maybe you should get off the ride and go meet them in person I mean that would require pvp… but then it is a BG.
AV is a HUGE part of endgame for many players, myself included.
Nice of you to be so trollingly dismissive of everyone who actually has a desire for the old version. Yet another poster who doesnt care about the version of AV as they do getting reactions.
BfA AV is not an easy zerg, you keep spreading this lie by making a comparison between 1.12 AV and BfA AV when they’re not even close to being the same thing.
If you want to say that 1.12 will always be a zerg, that’s an opinion I disagree with but can’t discredit. If you keep saying “It’ll be a zerg just like Current WoW’s AV” that’s incorrect and you should know that by now.
Stop lying, Mogar.
WRONG WRONG WRONG!! And LOL
It’s NOT the same thing.
You still need to take towers/bunkers. But for some reason you all seem to think you can zerg it with everyone up?
GOOD luck with that in 1.12 version. WHICH I flipping loved and spent HOURS AND HOURS in!!
The answer to the op is. . Yes… over reacting.
You’ve been advocating for non vanilla things since they created these forums. Before that you were against classic. Forgive us if we dont value your opinion on this subject. Your a troll plain and simple.
Sub 4 minute AV. That video was uploaded in October 2006, aka 1.12 AV.
Did you not read the PREMADE part? Its not the NORM!
Current AV is closer to 1.12 then 1.12 is to 1.5. That’s a fact. Other than reinforcements what’s different Galdor?

I’m sure a pug can muster the incredibly complex order of, “Ignore everything and run straight to Van.” It happens nearly every game in Current WoW. 1.12 will be no different.
Current AV is closer to 1.12 then 1.12 is to 1.5. That’s a fact. Other than reinforcements what’s different Galdor?
Reinforcements were a huge change.
That all you got? Exactly.

Yup. And reinforcements are meaningless. All they did was put a hard finish line that’s never met anyway.
That all you got? Exactly.
That’s as much as you saying 1.12 is basically the same as AV post reinforcements.
