Edit: Nevermind, it showed up as soon as I zoned in to Korrak’s Revenge. Oof, restarted at 0/200 progress on the TW badges required. That’s disappointing, having already earned the achievement and many more TW badges on top of it. Hopefully that’s not the final fix. Thanks for the heads up, though.

This needs to be broadcasted louder.
They openly said it came from an achievement which people worked on and got, including through the use of 1-time quests that cannot be repeated.
Now they just want to start us back at 0 after farming this out? Unacceptable hacky fix from them
welp, after grinding out the entire 200 badges yesterday, the new hotfix today makes it so you have to restart and grind all 200 of them over again from scratch to get the mount. This really sucks
It’s the laziest fix imaginable.
Just made a new bonus objective for it.
I would do it anyways because, realistically, 200 badges shouldn’t take that long if that is what you focus on, just on the off chance they fix it now or in the future and reward them.
Edit: Okay so I just realized they updated it and I’m sorely disappointed that this is the work around… Back to farming.

I’m seriously reconsidering whether or not I’m buying Dragonflight if this is the type of idiocy Blizzard is going to use.
This is the kind of half-effort you can expect from DF.
The promotion clearly states its tied to the achievement (as it historically has been).
Upon realizing its broken Blizzard chooses not to fix the actual achievement to give the proper reward but instead just makes a new bonus quest and completely ignores the effort and unrepeatable quests/gold youve already put into it.
They should have just pushed a fix to award it to anyone that got the achievement. And then made it a bonus objective for anyone that hasn’t completed it.
Atleast that doesn’t screw over as many people. As most probably have the achievement, if they were going for it for the mount.
That would have required some kind of effort and respect for their players.
Im not going to redo this… Que times for this event are 20-30mins and the games can run for up to an hour!
The issue is that just giving the mount to all current players with that achievement would have meant people who have that achievement from previous years would have gotten that mount also, people like me who weren’t planning on spamming AV because of what a mess the scaling is. To sort by date was probably more work than they intended to invest.
I’m not saying they’re doing the right thing here, just suggesting a reason why they might have chosen to make everybody who really wants it repeat the effort.

This isn’t a new mount. It’s always been tied to this achievement.
I read there was a new mount involved. Perhaps that was incorrect.
There isn’t its the same mount that anyone who got this achievement in the past got, there’s nothing new this anniversary
I did a lot of that the first year, when it was fun. At that time a character would receive the mount on completing the achievement. I have several characters that still have a duplicate mount in their bags.
And updated the blog page so we can’t point out anymore that their official announcement and the in-game requirements don’t match.

These are the lengths to go to avoid saying ‘sorry we screwed up’ and cover up their laziness by pretending this was the plan the whole time.
this was a terrible “fix” and i really feel for everyone who worked hard to complete the achievement (just like those of us who did it in 2019) and now have to start over bc of it. what a dampener on the anniversary mood.
