I’ve said multiple times, some people will have their own opinion because it’s their own opinion. Also, some people will parrot the streamer opinion just because the streamer said so.
Streamer parrots are few compared to the massive audience for this game.

What is your problem? Do you see the first comment after the blue post? It was posted not because a streamer told them to, it was because he’s a forum dweller. No, I wasn’t sent by some streamer, lmao. I like to think I know what I want from Classic.
Then was I talking about you? Or are you one of those people offended for other people?
Personally, I kind of feel like you’re just putting an undeserved amount of emphasis on people who might theoretically come here because a streamer told them to.
Some percentage of people might do that, it’s true. Some percentage of people who come here might believe that they flew in here on a giant space rock and are going to be lifted out by a unicorn. I don’t really think it’s worth spending a lot of time and effort castigating the few people who might believe that, especially not with language that’s so easy to misinterpret as an accusation against the vast majority of posters here who are not associated with that.

-Yes, they tend to agree with them, not always with everything they say but they do bring valid points.

I mean, to be fair, I didn’t intend to spend a lot of time on it. I said it because I was amusing myself. Some people took it personally.
That’s fair, but I think blaming the people who responded is a little odd.
You said something that was super easy to misinterpret. Some people, predictably, misinterpreted it. You walk into a crowded room swinging an axe and someone gets hit, it’s not their fault for being there.
Are you talking about me? Because the answer is no. Just because you took my personal amusement personally doesn’t mean anything about what I am offended by.
I was amusing myself, because I can. You’re the one who got offended by even though I wasn’t talking about you apparently.

Add me to the “disappointed but not surprised” group. It’s been pretty obvious for awhile now that classic is being made as cheaply as possible. It saddens me to see it, but I’m also saddened by people on these forums calling out the devs when we all know they aren’t the ones in charge.
I’ve said it before, but any version of vanilla AV is better than retail. I think the people saying “this might as well be retail AV” have no idea how far the battleground has fallen over the years. I’m so happy to have a good version of AV again, but I would’ve preferred an earlier version.
EDIT: Thanks for the info post Kaivax. Even if it’s not news we want to hear, it is appreciated (even if a lot of people won’t admit it when it’s bad news to them).

my issue is if they were being as literal as possible with we are going with 1.12 why wait this long and this late/so close to launch to announce something like this, when they probably would have known by day 1. just shady
