I’m not horde, but I’m willing to bet that most of them are happier with longer queues for the chance of a game that doesn’t end as a hopelessly outmatched 7-minute massacre.
Watch what? Have you mistaken me for someone else? None of your replies to me have ANY relevance to anything I’ve posted… take a breather and actually read…
lol all the ally people crying about this change and now the horde has an hour + que time but yet this was to help the horde per what all the ally people are saying? lol ok boomers
This seems to be true for the most part. Of the 8 games I’ve q’d solo, all have started with pretty much full teams. Can’t say much for the winning, but it’s at least relatively full teams.
As far as the winning goes i actually rolled Alliance expecting to lose in BGs a lot so that’s not a issue. Sure I’d rather win but it’s better to keep expectations low and be pleasantly surprised than the other way around.
As purely solo, it’s been a relatively better mixed bag so far as BG mood and experience goes. Interestingly, in several BGs, I’ve seen attempts at actually accomplishing something. I’ve seen instructions/strategy being typed out, and some groups actually trying to accomplish this task. Whether it be what remains of some premades is one thing, but I can at least see a slight difference in some of these PUGs. At the end of game, I’ve actually been seeing an average of 1.5k Bonus honor, as opposed to 0 - 400.
Of course, there are those that also just gave up at the beginning, but I would say it’s been a better mix of the two than the choices of either you’re in a premade, or in a lopsided pug.
The serious rankers weren’t doing much wpvp after BGs were introduced. Anyway, for rankers, it’s all relative. The fixes apply to both factions so it should affect rankers in both factions about the same. I am surprised that the devs fixed AV before the first r14s were minted but it won’t affect the overall progress.
In all honesty I was really seeing more of these 1.5-2K honor matches this week. Maybe the PUGers are finally adjusting and UNDERSTANDING what objectives net honor (i.e. kill Lts and Commanders) and your experiences albeit a small sample may be a ray of hope.
I also think that instead of ridiculing new players or those with 60 mounts in the BG, we ALL need to learn to educate and work with them. If they have a good time and have fun, then they will come back win or lose.
There are strategies that can incorporate people with 60 mounts but people need to be creative and work things out and communicate.
It can be a opportunity to get more people on Alliance side to get better and participate in BGs.
Oh yeah, I agree. If we treat everyone on equal terms, there is a mutual understanding that we’re here to accomplish the same goal, rather than treat someone like 2nd class citizens and dismiss them. I know of a great mage player on another realm whom I could rely on to complete specific tasks, but he has a 60 mount because he has multiple alts, so he hasn’t focused on fast mounts for everyone yet.
And even in Premades, I absolutely disliked the leaders who would keep riding through and let Horde pick off our tail (slow mounts or not), without fighting back. Then we proceed to Galv, ignoring that half our team is gone, and then wonder why we got wiped.
It’s like… Helloooo, this is PvP! If you see heavy Horde resistance, you fight! So on the flip side, we sometimes get really good leaders who recognize this, and we back track to save most of those left behind.
So a similar premise could be applied, where fast mounts could run ahead for objectives first, and Slow mounts could perhaps defend or cap another GY. Or if we’re all engaged in middle, 60 riders could flank from the side, and 100 riders backtrack and wipe out the resistance. We have to adapt.
It’s this behavior that is reprehensible and is what drives the premade mentality. I think this is one reason why Blizz did what they did. This attitude they brought was cancerous.
I play with my 2 RL friends and neither is 60 because we play lots of alts and they have less time to play than me but they are both highly competent players with LOTS of experience in WoW and other MMOs since EQ. They could lead any AV, AB, WSG, or other BG and I would feel fully confident. But they would never treat a lesser player with the disdain and nastiness we see from so many #tryhards.
Seen in the proper perspective, the “problem” of Alliance using discord and the Horde not being able to is a result of faction imbalance. Blizzard inadvertently made an incentive for folks to roll Alliance. Which in the long run would have led to greater balance. By preventing the Alliance the use of this small advantage the imbalance continues and the surgery failed. Who knows what will happen moving forward but as of today AV is on life support.
Horde could very easily have just used in game voice comms, or joined Discord channels when they get into the game. I know Alliance was working on that the last week before the shuffle queing that started today so they could coordinate better with the pugs.
