Good afternoon. What are some Alterac guilds, if there are any? Any good ones out there? Do any interface with other large-scale kingdom guilds? I could see it being a good time. Alterac’s history gives it some very very interesting options for neutral/x-faction diplomacy and RP.
There was an Alteraci guild around for a while, then some dude showed up on the forums throwing out old drama. Then they disappeared (maybe hiatus idk honestly)… Haven’t really seen any since.
I think Stromgarde has a few and Gilneas as well.

Similarly, I believe there was a Syndicate guild that came and went. So there is some interest around, but couldnt tell you how much or how sustainable.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much going but I have seen a lot of Alteraci players in the recent months. The nation kinda got hijacked by people wanting to co-opt it for:
- Syndicate but with zero consequence for their actions.
- Scarlet offshoot lore with some pretty controversial head-cannon.
The biggest challenge, as I too have an Alteraci I love to play, is to find a leader/council that can be trusted to represent Alterac in good faith withoit devolving into another bandit clan of murderers. I have no answers because I do not have the skills to pead a guild or a group, so for now I just enjoy meeting other Alteraci and seeing what lives they live. It’s a peaceful life.

Hmmm. Would anyone be interested in one? There’s such a fun fine line to walk. Don’t condone the Syndicate but don’t denounce either. Alterac was Horde friendly in WC2 but can scapegoat Perenolde when it’s convenient. Double standards everywhere – other nations not having to answer for what they did while under control of outside manipulating forces.
It’d be fun. Dangerous fun. Would Alterac be Alliance or Horde?
Why, who would give them a better deal?

Not mainly an Alteraci RPer but I love Alterac lore-- Would love to see the scene invigorated for all the human kingdoms, so I’d totally encourage you to go for it!

Sadly I believe Citrine Eagle is on perm haitus I believe! Or I would of told you to hit them up! A lot of people I know were apart of it and loved it.

Did somebody say… Alteraci?
Perhaps who they were mentioning before was that I previously ran the from 2013-2018 and did the Scarlet Reclamation from 2018-2024, but we have decided to follow through with going back to our Alteraci roots! The difference before though was we were staunchly with the Alliance and anti-Syndicate, but being neutral from both the Horde and Alliance brings forth some rich possibilities. To lean towards our Syndicate brethren in arms who struggle for Alterac and the Perenoldes in their own skirmishes, the Ravenholdt who are their sworn nemesises, towards the Alliance’s favor who has let Alterac stand in ruins and rubble for decades or the Horde who denied the Syndicate’s plead for aid when Alterac became put under martial law (Warcraft 3)? There’s also historically Dwarven and Human Alterac born Scarlet Crusaders (Valea Twinblades & Dorgar Stoenbrow), so there’s plenty of avenues an Alteraci could take!
Citrine is such a good guild the gm and them are awesome people hope they come off hiatus their rps are amazing.

Many of my characters come from Alterac. Some don’t really care about their past, others have big ambitions when it comes to their homeland.
Sanger himself is old, trying to find some sort of purpose for what he believes are his final years, but his son, Hanse, wants to reclaim the old lands. Hanse believes he can rule over Alterac since few, if any, are trying to reclaim it (as far as he knows). I haven’t found folks interested in developing this story, but if you’re curious, reach out to me. I’m usually on in the evenings.
