Alt for Wrath

So my main for wrath will be this Prot/Holy Pally. I would like to level up a ranged dps alt once the xp bonus starts. The alt will just be for gathering, dps in dungeons if needed and just when I want to chill. I only have time for one, should I level a lock, hunter or priest?

Um I would say lock or hunter I mean technically you’re going to have a death night automatically at 55 but you know.

I wouldn’t make your alt for gathering a priest specifically for gathering If I’m being honest I would see a Druid.

Because of flight form But honestly between a hunter and a warlock That’s kind of tough I guess it’s a question which One do you dislike.

Is carrying soul charts or carrying ammo You definitely have more healing and utility as a warlock But a hunter you have a little bit More pet utility so.

I would watch guides on both classes And then make my judgment off of that

I boosted a hunter as an alt for TBC. It’s not a bad choice for an alt, but always having to worry about arrows and water for mana can be annoying.

Why not consider a mage? They always seem to be good, can make their own food and water, use portals, ect.

Hunters are more mobile than warlocks, so solo stuff will be a bit faster.

Priests can heal, so if you care to do dungeons, you can dual spec up a healing spec just in case DPS slots are plugged up.

For a gather alt I’d say hunter. Pet holds mob, you get node, dismiss pet, feign death, and fly off.

Then again druid is druid and everyone needs a druid. Shadowmeld/instaflight is awesome.

I boosted a mage. All he does is die.

If mainly for gathering go hunter or lock if druid isn’t an option. Use the pet to distract mobs so you can get nodes before others steal it.

Not sure what blueberry aggro capabilities are in WOTLK, but if it’s decent an Aff lock abusing VW could easily dot up a mob to kill it while grabbing the node.

Unholy DK gets crusader aura speed while mounted. Just saying.

As an UD Mage i can relate.

If your alts main purpose is gathering I say Druid. You can harvest a node without leaving flight form. If the speed at which you harvest is not a concern then play the class you like to ‘chill’ out with.

Hunter is good for quick dps and gathering only thing a hunter can’t gather as an alt are the lockboxes for a rep. But if you are going for leveling speed dk levels fast given you have a 63.

Go druid or hunter on your second account in between bg queues. I say this because PvP will be the only real content during wotlk classic due to features being removed by the lead developer.

You need to learn to mage better. They’re so strong, mobile, and have amazing escapes.

Gathering is fastest on a dk/pali followed by druid. Druid would offer you the ability to gather + be ranged DPS.
Between the 3 you listed it comes down to what play style you like. Lock will top meters the best of the 3 I think. However there’s alot of fun to have with the other 2 and priest can be back up healer.

Warlock and hunter are fantastic for soloing which is all that matters to a farmer. But by wrath every class can solo effectively so it’s not that important anymore. Personally I always have a rogue for mining and opening dumb boxes. My 2nd is a warlock with herbalism.

Yeah. But that involves skill.

Hehe, oh it’s not so bad. Keep em slowed with frost, frost nova to get away, blink if you need.
