Bro, fresh is literally a massively botched unrealistic economy. As time goes on the economy becomes “balanced”. 300g for goblin boots in the “balance” price for said item. 5g for it is the massively, botched, unrealistic economy of them.
Why waste the time farming in seasonal when everything will reset in a few months.

But the actually gold price of things have zero impact on whether something is affordable or not, or whether the economy is healthy or not.
What matters if how much time a player, say average player, has to play to be able to afford what they need.
I would posit it is about the same on era and fresh, and perhaps even more new player friendly on era, since low level mats are in huge demand and nobody wants to farm them. Since we can just gdkp…

Bruh, I played on plenty of fresh - spending far more time than any casual player would - and was perpetually broke between pve / pvp consumes.
Any casual player trying to do any endgame content will be broke on a fresh, always.

I made like 20+ rocket boots for my rogue a few weeks ago, and bought the mats over-time, it was far under 40g for each pair.
Rocket boots are always hugely inflated on the AH because only noobs buy fully made rocket boots.

It’s not in his ability to speak (or read) English that I have a problem with. I don’t care if someone speaks it or not. The problem was his interpretation of what I said was misleading, and he was attacking me for something I didn’t say. Kind of like what you’re doing.
If he (or you) wants to engage in an argument of insults, he should make sure he’s correctly interpreting what I say. If he’s unsure about what I meant, then he should ask, instead of instantly jumping to a personal insult.
My claim is based on my experience. I have always been broke on fresh servers and everyone I played with was also broke.
Only people that were not broke, either got some really lucky drops, controlled resources, or bought gold.
I have played vanilla since Nost and also blizzards original launch.
I have never seen rocket boots at this price.

If you buy the mats and craft the boots on era today it will probably cost around 60g a pair which is super standard.
What I remember very clearly was my reason for quitting SOM. I couldn’t buy any rocket fuel, there were no boots on AH, and WSG would not pop.

1 year is enough time to have an absolute blast in vanilla.

Buy the mats for a couple dozen, find a tailor, and have them craft them. Tip them like 30-50g.
That lasts a bit since like half will get returned when the boots break
Edit: the best part of doing so, is those are low level mats, so you are probably helping out a new player get some gold

I do not hate on era, I log era only for scheduled bg matches.
Era is a good place for many reasons. But I will not lie and say it’s the natural way for a completely new person to the game to experience what vanilla is about
Which is a great way to use Era and one my favorite parts of it. You can leave for months or even longer, and come back and play competitive right away.
I agree fresh are cool as well and would really like blizzard to put them on a scheduled timer so people can organize their schedules around it.

Tbh he isnt wrong the only thing that is effected by having a huge inflation of gold is that the gold sinks (spells/respects) ,grey mob farming (dm mage run/hunter run) and basically anything solo are the only things the don’t exist. A low level right now can mine 100 bars and make 3g.
