At least once to twice sometimes 3 times a week this error WoW51900325 keeps showing up for me…it will last about hour or so then it goes away for some reason…its always at the character selection screen it shows up too…I have scanned …repaired…reset and done all the things said to do but it still happening …and its not all the time I can go weeks without it showing up but then boom its back again…so what is causing this too happen.
i assume corrupted file.
if you haven’t delete WoW and all it’s folders don’t just “uninstall” you literally need to go and delete the folders manually too. then redownload it.
only other thing i can think of is make sure your drivers are all up to date. given that you said you have already scanned and repaired. if like me where i just uninstall and reinstall without deleting the folders the issue just stays the same. not just with WoW but with other games as well.
This comes up randomly, and once it does, it will continue happening until you Alt-F4 the game. I started a thread on this in the Bug Reports forum in 2020 that regularly gets comments.
Can’t tell if this is actually advice, or some 4chan level trolling
That’s nice. If you look at my editing above, you will see that I started a thread in the bug reports forum in 2020 about this that has had lots of comments since. I have had it happen many times. It is not necessary to reinstall the game or change files. If you never shut down the game, you should do it occasionally.
Interesting if the Alt-F4 solves the problem for time frame why hasn’t Blizzard issued any remarks on why it keeps happening over and over…I never use to get this till recently like in the last year or so…
I was kidding btw I’ve actually alt+f4’d and then gone to the Task Manager to close out anything Blizz/WoW related, and had that work
Alright Murdercarpet going to Alt-F4 right now and see what happens… I did see your thread from 2020 but as you know if you pull up a old thread someone bound to call you out on it …and say its a necro of the thread…
Well I did what you said Murdercarpet and now its gone…so why hasn’t blizzard fixed this if they know about it…really players shouldn’t have to keep doing this to clear this up all the time…its a royal pita really…
Not sure if it is the same error i was having. I have two laptops and one kept getting an error. Both had all updates. I finally just plugged the laptop into the router rather than tbe wifi and problem solved. They are both the same brand, but wifi is fine for thebother one.
That’s wow trying to express something in binary. As usual, they overcomplicate things.
If you question this error they always tell you too reset your UI…get rid of addons…scan and repair your game…clean out your interface by changing the file names…none of which gets rid of this error…as I said…it comes up for a short period of time and just goes away then comes up later on …and as Murder has shown doing a Alt-F4 clears it out so why hasn’t blizzard fixed it…if the Alt-F4 thing works…there is something in their side of the game causing this.
