But it’s not, people are abusing shards in order do what they are doing. It’s not how blizzard intended shards to work. Blizzard already put a stop to shard hopping. Doesn’t matter if people have found another way they haven’t fixed.
Thread title is about “server hopping.” Whether you call it abuse or not, the mechanics remain the same. “Griefing and camping” is a player behavior issue, not a mechanical issue. In which case, it’s still not against the ToS, and Blizzard hasn’t classified shard hopping for any reason as abuse or exploitation, even when players in PvE are doing it all the time to farm rares. If Blizzard intended shard hopping to be off limits, they’d implement restrictions to stop it outright. That’s why your argument is more about personal opinion than Blizzard’s stance.
You keep saying it’s “not the intended use,” but Blizzard has never explicitly said that. We’ve been over it already, they never broke any addon outright, they just made shard hopping more difficult with the restriction being you need to be in the same zone, shard hopping requires grouping which can be done through the LFG system.
Again, Blizzard just adjusted how shard hopping works; they didn’t “stop” it. The changes were to limit how easily players could switch shards, not to eliminate it. If Blizzard wanted shard hopping gone, they’d remove the ability to join groups in different shards altogether.

Are you saying people are making large groups and swapping around leader to farm crates with minimal resistance in 1 area? The fact people are doing it at all? Or that they’re doing it until they find a shard with minimal resistance and just farming there?
Either way, this seems pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things. I’m not sure using your time being upset about this is worth it.
No. They’re not. Only alliance is doing it. Not that it’s illegal or whatever, but it’s true and lame. Horde does not do it, because there are no horde players.
Nah dude don’t even. I’ve ran with that Nacho Party community on my Demon Hunter when I needed the Conquest, and they would occasionally swap shards whenever the crate timers weren’t lining up for a zone.
