Ally pvp'r thoughts on bg change

I play this game for the pvp aspect of it and went into tbc knowing that horde have incredibly long q times

I weighed the pros and cons and decided that faster bg times was worth giving up the better racials

Blizzard has fundamentally changed the way the game works and have removed the sole reason I picked my faction

If I had the full information on what the game would look like at this point in time, I would have changed the way I came at it completely

The solution from my point of view would be free faction transfers for a short period of time. This is not the perfect fix but it would be enough to compensate for changing the game in such a drastic way

Are the queues longer? I haven’t logged in yet, but I have the same origin story as you.

The free faction transfer idea definitely could have been tried first, to see if it alleviates the issue, before resorting to this nuclear option.

Serves you right in my opinion if you picked a fraction based off queue times. As someone who hates playing as horde and competitive pvp’er i would never roll horde based off queue times.

The fact you picked your faction based on que times is a problem. Bravo to blizzard for quickly fixing an issue that had players making choices for all the wrong reasons.

I wonder if I will be facing more premades, because horde may make more premade groups now?

Other than that, it is a bit early for feedback. I haven’t tried it yet.

Don’t care at all. If anything, happy for all of the players that will get to play the game the way they want now.

I went in. wanted to pvp. so i picked the same faction i was in classic with my main. Then I sat in Q for 1 hour and got rolled by a premade in 5 minutes, havent touched a BG since. Now I get to have quick Qs and actually play the game instead of sitting around for an hour.

I re rolled to Alliance. And now I have 2 70 on both faction. I feel that I wasted my time instead of playing the game.

Yep. I woulda been Horde from the start. They wasted my time with the lie that this is classic BC.

Short queues have never been a good reason to pick a faction. That means it’s an unhealthy faction with crappy win rates

Now we can have a one faction game just like Blizzard wants. I just wish they would have told me in advance that they don’t want us to play Alliance. Could have saved a ton of time /played

Well then maybe we should address that somehow. This is a two faction game. If one of them sucks it’s a big problem.

They are addressing Horde issues like they always do. Alliance will get even worse. If you don’t care about the game being 1 faction for PvP, well, more power to you, but I think that sucks and it’s enough to get me to give up on PvP and roll a Horde druid on a RP server for raiding.

Yeah you see, the Horde players didn’t pick their faction because they wanted to wait 1 hour in BG queues. How about you reroll and stop acting like Blizzard owes you anything.

That is the difference man between people in this game. I picked my favorite faction and favorite class and only changed race from Tauren to Orc because I pvp as Enh and back then always wished I was Orc Shaman because of Rogues. I didn’t do any research like all of you sweaty neckbeards to min/max the crap out of this game, run those BIS lists, farm dungeons 150+ times for that extra +2str. Stack world buffs and raid log. I came for fun and stay for fun despite the longer q’s and faction disbalance. I only learned all that crap in late phase 2. The less of you all in the game with that meta BS the better it is .So, GOOD BYE!

Last week I was told to reroll if I didn’t like my queues.

Good news is you guys can reroll yourselves now, since so many of you thought it was an acceptable solution a few days ago

Way ahead of you. lol I’m not trying to be some toxic jerk with you. I actually rerolled and gave up on PvP because it’s going to suck now. The Alliance is going to die. If it’s still fun for you then I’m glad for you. I’ll just do PvE.
