They’re not “legendary rare anymore”. If you don’t have one om your main at this point, you weren’t playing Firelands. Our 25 man guild made like 12 of them just running every week, its not like it’s “Super rare” its a pretty common weapon at this point.
The only people going back are going to be healers who didn’t manage to get one or Alts.
I didn’t say “legendary rare”, I said legendary. As in, requires a sufficient amount of investment and effort to acquire, whether that be rarity or simply an involved quest chain that requires participating in the content it is/was relevant to
Yet again, you’re straight up wrong. Multiple classes that are not casters have Firelands gear that is still bis even over heroic Dragon Soul
I mean, no ones saying they should be allowed to just buy the staff outright, so going through the new dungeons tons and tons of time would still suffice as “Sufficient amount of investment”. They should have to build it, but their should be a catch-up mechanic. This isn’t OG Cata where only a few people in your raid would have the staff at this point, most bigger guilds ALL their casters have it already.
The vast majority aren’t getting that many items from Firelands that continue - are some? Sure, but not enough to warrant weeks and weeks of continuing to run Firelands.
If they don’t have those BiS items already, chances are they got extremely unlucky with drops or weren’t raiding Firelands hardcore. If it’s the later, they’re not going back to Firelands either way.

One of those what? I have the staff and I’m fully BiS - I raid every week H 7/7 Firelands. The only reason I would go back would be on an Alt because I wanted a 2nd staff. All you’re saying is #nochanges, when the staff was already made easier to get. Clearly, Blizzard thinks that everyone should be able to acquire it since they made it that much faster to get.

You’re just saying they shouldn’t put it on the vendor. Because why? The only reason you’d not want it at this point is because you want to Gatekeep people.
The only people who wouldn’t have a staff on their Main yet would be people who are just coming back for Dragon Soul/Alts/Healer. If you’ve been raiding on a main caster this whole time, there’s an EXTREMELY high likelihood that you already have staff or are about to be finished it. I raid with a group that’s extremely caster heavy, and have even rotated more people into the raid - we are working on our 2nd or 3rd healer staff at this point.
So what’s your argument against it? Because, the only thing I’m seeing is gatekeeping alts and healers, since anyone whose been raiding this whole time who has really wanted it, has it.
You’re gatekeeping yourself from the content by insisting you be able to get the reward without doing it
The same can be said about ALL the other vendor items, you still have to work towards them. It’s just in a different form. Again, you’re grasping for straws.
Those aren’t legendaries with entire storylines and events that grant them the prestige to be a legendary

As the OP said, you’d still have to go through the quest chains, which means you’d still have to do the nexus event, you just wouldn’t have to do the raid, which is stale content at this point, for weeks on end.

You’d still have to do the raid for the Rag Kill? You’d still have to do at least part of the raid for the Mini boss? Do you even know what the quest chain involves…?
One run =/= a legendary
You’re right, you’d now be able to also do runs and runs of Dungeons instead, you’d be able to do it at your own pace without fighting the Roster Boss. Wild I know.
Do you think it would cost like 1 of the new currency to complete the entire quest chain or something? You’re still doing content, it’s just current content.
Ah so you’ve missed my point entirely, now I understand. Allow me to reiterate:
The entire point is the help maintain Firelands’ relevance beyond its release patch. Aka: keep giving people a reason to go back and do old content instead of raid log in a Pandaria waiting room
People don’t want to do old content. If they didn’t raid Firelands this entire time, they didn’t want to raid Firelands. If you’ve been raiding Firelands this whole time, you don’t want to still be raiding Firelands. People who only have time to raid 1/2 nights a week, don’t want to raid Firelands in addition to Dragon Soul. If you want to do Firelands, you’re welcome to keep doing it.
