I just think that they should allow people to tranfer toons on to full server as long as the people have a toon on that server already. cause it allows people to make new toon why not let them tranfer there other toons.
Last time they allowed that, there were 20,000+ queue.
They’ve addressed this before as to why this can’t be done. It’s not for them 'not allowing it, it’s because, the system responsible for server transfers (shop system) is not currently setup in order to tell if pre-existing characters exist or not. You’re not just asking them to open up transfers, you’re asking them to recode an entire system that doesn’t just affect Wrath but also is responsible for the transactions from the shops across all Blizzard games, and Blizzard merch shop. Sooooo it’s not that simple, what you’re asking for is actually quite big.
While it may not be very hard/expensive to record the current shop system (I don’t know how much of a process this would actually be,) in terms of the simplicity of your request… it’s harder than you think considering it doesn’t just affect Wrath.
Because the amount of people who have characters already on big servers and would like to transfer alts from other servers would significantly outweigh how many people would actually be willing to reroll fresh on that server, starting out with nothing and having to level 1-80 all over again. That’s why.
Wasn’t an issue in TBC so they must know how to make it work now as well.
How so? You were able to transfer characters to a locked server that you had pre-existing characters on? If so, which servers were they? I’m actually very curious.
Edit: Especially considering they never locked servers in TBC. They were locked in pre-patch, and at that point, we were practically in Wrath.
Seems the servers was locked in May and the last transfer I did to it was in April so that’s my bad. Heck me
