Yeah would be cool to see them again wouldnt it?
earn it
lol
Itd be interesting if they introduced a way to compete again with older versions of the game. Like timewalking arena, like a tournament realm but for timewalking. Play cata s11 again for this week etc.
Alternatively letting elite mogs carry over from the upcoming classic expansions. Like you want S9 elite? Ok cata classic is coming go hit 2200 its yours.
Seems fair to me. A second chance.
Theyve already explicitly said they wont do this, which imo is also fine. Its just the only way id like to see old pvp rewards shared again.
Is there a reason youâre posting on like 3 different alts or?
Im still mad to this day that i only collected the grevious elite helm just to âhave a piece to show i reached my goalâ and then prideful season comes out and its the same elite set.
So now i have all of the prideful elite but no head, and only the head of grevious, and under the sets category, i wont see either and it makes me smadge i didnt just buy the full set of both.
As well as not buying the quite literally free tyranical set as i was boy cotting it. I didnt want my first season of 2200 to be the first season (and technically only) to be the one where the elite set had no rating requirement on it.
The reduction in the rating requirement for âeliteâ PvP sets to 1800 has essentially made these âprestigiousâ rewards almost freely obtainable, diminishing their exclusivity. Achieving 1800 rating is now considered relatively straightforward, eroding the sense of accomplishment associated with these once-exclusive rewards. Allowing access to elite sets from previous expansions adds another layer to this issue, further diluting their significance. If anything the elite sets need to be more difficult to obtain.
One of the biggest core problems with current pvp and the low participation is the difficulty to obtain rating and rewards. If you increase difficulty then youâll also continue to see participation drop.
If you compare current pvp to TBC season 1, 2 & 3 where there was no rating restrictions on gear or weapon, the participation rate was at itâs peak up until they started throwing in ârating restrictionsâ to obtain shoulders & weapon and thatâs where pvp participation started to decline and now weâre likely at the lowest participation rate ever currently due to the high difficulty for newer players.
Gear rewards need to go back to a progression based system so we can get the participation numbers back up to TBC levels.
Itâs extremely easy to tell when someone is being dishonest, like these folks asking for free stuff.
Pvp is on life support for gameplay reasons, everything else like gearing or rewards are just extras, theyâre using these as an excuse to beg for more free stuff given to them while pretending they care about pvp.
Anyway the recolor idea is alright though.
I mean if Blizz tried it and still participation was low then Ill buy into your half baked view.
Also if they opened up the flood gates and everything is like you say so few ppl participating anyway noone would bother and still only a small portion of the player base would have the mogs.
Make no mistake about itâŠthis game has lasted this long for 2 reasons:
1.) Exclusivity through items (mounts, armor sets which are now transmogrification, and now toys)
2.) Competition & itâs success has never been able to keep up with WoW innovation
Outside of these 2 things, poor PvP balance, poor discretion between both worlds of PvP & PvE will continue to piss on the way it has been. Until Blizzard decides to actually approach the distinction of both worlds & migrate them in the easiest way to provide quality of life & power creep, then these forums will continue to be a cesspool.
I havenât posted here long, I guess a week now, but if you wade through the cesspool of wanna-be glads, hard stuck 1600s, or trolls you can actually find some thought-provoking, critical ideas worthy of putting on their table. And since Iâve been here, most of these get instantly reported & removed.
The fact is, Blizzard says they are against RMT in their EULA but having rules without a scope to enforce it means itâs literature. Plain & simple.
No blizz posts in 15+ pages of this forum & I donât blame them. I wouldnât want to read any of these posts so itâs just a huge echo chamber & quite unfortunately to those of us who would love to be a part of positive change as we get older & eventually move on to a game that can provide an experience we are looking for.
Until then, and only until then, you can keep enjoying your 4 PvE mounts ever couple mounts, a new glad mount reskin every few months, and a new weapon illusion that is decent visually 1 out of the 4 seasons in an expac. That is exactly why I suggested the participation method congruent to how rating is now.
Shrug
tru cuz the troll thread you created the other day asking for all rewards to be participation based (which was correctly flagged and removed as it was clearly trolling) was the pinnacle of healthy discussion
