If you think this is insane lvls of grinding man IDK what to tell you
RAWR IM ANGRY SO IM GONNA MAKE STUFF UP
but you unlock them within the first month? like unless you don’t play.
they didn’t hide it we knew going in we would need to do a rep grind and no I don’t think you understand what insane rep grinds are
They’re so insanely easy to get, I wish people would stop complaining about this non-issue.
I’m a pretty casual player and was able to unlock them without even having a want to unlock them.
It’s the same team that has waged a personal war against flying since Warlords and have delivered the 3rd expansion in a row of ability pruning because they think having our characters do less is more fun.
How can you possibly be surprised?
Burning Crusade:
Interestingly enough, that approach actually brought in new accounts and subscribers.
Weird!
Someone may have shorted ATVI.
There do seem to be a lot strange decisions. Remember, “You think you do, but you don’t.”
The assumption you are trying to make that the reason “more than 50%” have left is due to the allied race restrictions is an assumption based upon your opinion. Did you do an exit survey to determine this or is it a “reddit” fact?
Oh no, you mean you can’t unlock the opposing factions allied race by NOT PLAYING THEM?!? Did you seriously think that your Honorbound reputation was some how magically going to unlock 7th Legion rewards?
Now if you had whined about how long it took for them add in the allied races and their unlocks, I am totally on board with you there. Mag’har and DI should have been there long before they were and the next two should have been added with the raid patch in 8.1.
At this point, it seems like they should make the Legion related ones available by simply going through the quest line.
When I arrived in Zandalar, the Nightborne were clearly already on board with working with their Horde friends by helping get the portals set up back to the mainland. At this point, we don’t really need to earn their trust any longer.
As BfA is obviously current content, I don’t have issue with the races being tied to the reputation. You can earn exalted quite easily through casual play. If you try to grind it by doing every WQ available at every second of the day, you’re just going to burn yourself out.
I’m surprised anyone is still complaining. You could have had them all unlocked maybe 2 months into bfa. It isn’t hard or tedious, and for a few of the reps that you need there are mounts.
Honestly, I would make it maxed out friendly and finish the major story line in their quest progression. There is really no reason to make people grind out that reputation to exalted now a days. Consider that the bonus we got in Legion for unlock them and getting to play them months before BFA went live.
Unfortunately feedback like this, while helpful, will ALWAYS fall on deaf ears.
I urge you now to unsub. This is the ONLY type of feedback that is listened to as it’s a loss of revenue.
I’d say that simply unsubbing doesn’t send a specific message, but word on the street is that Blizzard no longer asks departing players why they are leaving.
I can understand, somewhat, current allied races requiring exalted as it is current content. But I do think the rep gates for Legion AR’s should be completely lifted. I mean, maybe just have players get to honored and complete the story campaign related to them.
Also I think they would make quite a bit of $$$ if they allowed race changed / boosted AR characters to have heritage armor. Not supporting this either, just think it would be profitable on Blizz’s end.
It certainly doesn’t send a specific message, but it does send one particularly important message to $Activision$ and that’s loss of profit.
If enough profits are lost, they’ll look at other departments. Such as lead developer.
This is why it’s a rather dopey decision to no longer ask players why. There’s a multitude of reasons people may be leaving, and I’d like them to address the specific ones that are causing the most damage to the playerbase.
People still complaining about having to actually work for allies race is mind boggling.
I feel like they ended that because it was just overwhelmingly negative, like most of the “features” of this expac have been regarded.
And instead of fixing it, they’re playing hard ball. Most are willing and eager to play hard ball, and we’re throwing that ball - hard(unsubbing)
It’s not the “work”
It’s probably more that allied races were a key feature for BfA and they still aren’t unlocked nearly 6 months later.
That would cause such an uproar that Blizzard would never live it down. The heritage armor is supposed to be the reward for leveling the race from start to finish.
And you base this on what? Figures you pulled out of the air? Blizzard hasn’t released subscription figures for over 3 years now. For all we know, they could have 50,000,0000 subscribers or they could have 5.
Quit making crap up.
Dark Iron Dwarves and Mag’har Orcs are available. As are the Legion-based ARs. Unlocking them is on the player. But Each faction has 3 ARs they have access to and Patch 8.1.5 will bring one more to each.
