Has Blizzard said anything about making existing Allied Races available for free in the next expansion? Or if they haven’t said anything, does it seem likely they will? If i put in the time to grind rep for these races, I will be pretty frustrated if they eventually make them available to everyone without the grind.

No. WoD Pathfinder has remained mostly unchanged despite how old it is so I imagine little will change on Allied Races either.

They should… but as has been mentioned we still have WoD/Legion pathfinders, so probably not.

I think a lot of us will be pretty frustrated as we put in the work to unlock the allied races.

First one has to do time gated faction rep grind then a scenario to unlock them.
Then a toon must be leveled from 20 to 110 for the HA.
All designed for increasing the /time played metric.
So no, no freebies.
Rep grinds for old pathfinders/non current expansion ARs should be removed. If that is “unreasonable”, then at least drastically decreased.
Rep grinds “work” for these things when its max level/current content. Because there is an expectation that you will spend a certain amount of time within that content. Because it is max level/current content.
Once it no longer becomes max level/current content, then the requirements should be removed for these important game play aspects.

I have all allied races and it wouldn’t bother me abit. We got them when they were current. I feel like after two expansions they could start unlocking them or at least drastically lowering the requirements.

If you did the grind and already have access to an AR, and it gets given to people much later for no grind, how does that affect your access to those ARs?

allied races is a money maker dude thats why they are in there.unlock it race change to it money for blizzard.

If that’s the case, then why not hand out Mage Tower Artifact skins to everyone?
Give out the challenge mode armor and weapons.
Hand out the rank 4 essences to everyone!
Its the same principal. “Its not affecting your ability to use those things.”
If you want something, go out and earn it.
It’s far more rewarding, in the end.

Those are items / appearances, and historically treated differently than something that is gained via reputations.
A better analogy would be me getting “upset” if Blizzard extends AK again before 8.3 is released, making it easier for players to reach level 70 after I reached level 70 already, at multiple levels of 100k+ AP.

Why have reputation rewards at all then?
If a player wants the Tabard from the Scryers why not just give it away, rather than force him to grind rep?

I’m not arguing for Blizzard to give these things away … my question was why does it cheapen the value of the AR the OP has already achieved, if players get access to it much later than they did, at no cost?
In the analogy I proposed, the answer is I wouldn’t care if Blizzard made it easier to reach level 70 over the next 8-10 weeks or whenever 8.3 is released. I’ve already achieved 70, letting others reach it doesn’t cheapen it for me.

Allied races and Heart of Azeroth are fundamentally different things.
The HoA will be snapped away by the end of expansion.
Allied races are attached to your account; permanently.
You only need to unlock them once and then they’re unlocked for good.
