I have no idea why these two things are related but they seem to be. I have a lvl 50 Night elf, I have gotten the achievements needed to unlock the allied race for void elf and light forged, but cant access them. From what I have read, its because of Newcomers chat. when i try to leave newcomers chat, (/leave 4) it tells me “Unable to manually leave chat channel: Newcomer Chat” does anyone please have any fix for this… just… weird problem?
Also I have a support ticket and have had one in for 2 days now. seems to be a near 7 day wait.
Blizzard tagged a bunch of accounts as new and even when you leave the chat it doesn’t good away and support won’t help or offer free race changes. I’m fed up and will be seeking a refund personally. Also nothing about a fix in the next patch’s notes.

That’s all extremely disappointing… what do you have to do to remove the newcomers thing? what are those requirements? do we know?
level 20 and 30 hours normally but it still wont go away. I have 1000s of hours play on various characters over the years and still I am flagged as new.
lvl 20 AND 30 hours of gameplay? holy crap thats a lot…

So I just got the allied races back just now when my Demon hunter hit level 50
so i have to lvl soemthing to 50 to unlock it instead of just a boost
perhaps… here goes lvling a character ill never care about. woot.
