Personally I want Maldraxxi Skeletons(complete with head horns and elbow spikes) for the Alliance on the grounds that there are more Maldraxxi Heroes from the Alliance(Amber Kearnen and Alexandros Morgraine) than there are Maldraxxi Heroes from the Horde(Draka).
Its Horde stuff… joining the Horde…
I think you’re being ridiculous.
Whether or not the Horde saw them for some random contrivance isn’t important.
I can certainly say that most folk who want San’layn that I’ve run into very much prefer them Horde either way.
Calia was neutral when we ALL met her in Legion… she just shows up again late into BfA… most folk don’t know anything about her.
I’ll grant I think trying to shoehorn her into the leadership of the Forsaken is a dumb idea, but the San’layn make loads more sense to join the Horde than Calia ever made sense existing.
Fair points.
Malfurion seems generally unwilling to go back on old decisions…
Yeah I rather like that theres a group of Worgen going around Duskwood trying to save the inflicted there. Would be neat to gather up more of them from other locations.
It seems silly to me to reject a race genuinely wanted by your side (at least that I’ve seen) that in lore tried to join your faction, all because some blizz dev didnt tell the Horde hero…
Uhm… you must be joking.
Yeah its really not much.
Shes only really noticeable in the first bit of that Legion campaign. Otherwise shes just a follower.
They tend to lobby for them to be a Horde AR and I suspect they will continue to do so.
Wha?
When did any Alliance player do anything like that?
You do know its the Devs who pushed Calia on you right?
By the way I play both Alliance and Horde… I want San’layn for the Horde, and Saurok, and Tuanka while we’re at it…
Honestly a lot of AR’s and Core races could use a lot more work customization and model wise.
Ogres are the main example, overwhelmingly requested as a Horde race… by Alliance players.
I’m not that interested in any of the Covenant races but if they DO add them I hope they go all out.
Don’t care which side they end up on much.
… You’re joking right?
Wow.
Ogres are part of the Horde canonically. Don’t blame the Alliance, thank Rexxar.
Just seems weird…I was a worgen and I know for a fact you can retain your mind…but nah. Let’s just leave them sleeping/imprisoned.
Seems very wrong.
A race that’s been part of the horde for longer than most of the other horde races?
I hope so lol
I’ve seen people mention her before…where does she show up at?
Is it in the upcoming stuff?
Maldraxxus. She’s part of the House of Eyes I think? But she is hardly recognizable. She’s a spider lady. At least the Maldraxxi retain their names, as opposed to the Venthyr.
Buffalo tauren.
History includes war with the Nerubians.
Much different in appearance from classic tauren.
Great opportunity to use Northrend content.
Society focuses on taming and controling the elements instead of living in harmony with them.
Easy to implement since animations are already in game.
The game already has allied races that are just pallet swaps, glowy tattoos added, and horns changed to antlers.
At least Taunka are already members of the horde with a backstory that makes sense in context.
I don’t think Malfurion ever went entirely into it though? I think he experimented with the Pack saw that it was dangerous and stopped before it was the curse.
I could be wrong though… I forget things from the comics a lot.
Still though it does seem to me, like you said, irresponsible to leave them behind asleep like that when we can fix them.
I can say that there are some Night Elven Worgen in the Alliance. Its extremely hinted that the Worgen in Felwood are Night Elven ones (or at least some are) .
I guess that’s what threw me off…I could have sworn I saw a screenshot somewhere of her with her gun wearing some Maldraxxi armor…I’ve seen one of the spider-ladies with a name that made me think of her…that must have been her then.
I had to go find it as I was remembering him having the full experience
" While experimenting with the druids’ shape-shifting abilities, Malfurion discovered the lupine Pack Form. However, its feral nature was far too much for him to control, and Malfurion lost himself to rage, even going so far as to attack Cenarius. The demigod healed Malfurion’s anger by forcing him to slumber beneath the great tree Daral’nir, within the Emerald Dream. From that point, Malfurion banned all of his students from using the Pack Form, but despite his efforts a sect calling themselves the Druids of the Pack appeared."
Now having night elven worgen teaching gilnean worgen to control it, and himself having been cured…even more so than the others. I think it’d be a great option to add. I’d quite like to see full wolf based druid forms instead of the half wolf cat things the gilneans got.
Just let them be options the gilneans could learn as well. More durid forms is definitly something that needs to be added regularly.
Malfurion didn’t get to experience the hybrid form that was blessed by Elune but not Goldrinn, so the easy fix is just having Goldrinn tie into the introduction quest and giving his blessing this time, which could help them control their rage and such.
It’d also be a good time to allow Goldrinn’s blessing to bestow a tail for those wanting it too. There is precedence.
Nice, the island expedition quest where you take the item back to the druid in Moonglade also confirms the feral ones you encounter are night elves.
She is Kearnen the Blade or Kearnen of Blades now. Which now that I think of it… is a bit odd, I recall her giant sniper rifle during a quest in Westfall. But she was part of SI:7 so I imagine she is skilled with an array of weaponry.
Lost himself to the rage. I see.
Not quite the cursed form yet but definitely more or less the same issue,
Yeah don’t see why given the new agility to fully return the mind we wouldn’t release the Night Elven Worgen.
Gods yes please.
That would work. I especially like the option for a tail for Worgen.
I know many want that.
Oho! Now that is interesting!
Honestly, all of these make more sense than Void Elves and Lightforged.
Just my never ending thread reminder that Lightforged and Void elves being the allied races we got for Alliance because “It’s hard to think of Alliance Allied Races” was the dumbest thing…
BECAUSE HIGH ELVES AND BROKEN DRAENEI WERE RIGHT THERE.
Y’ALL ROBBED ME BLIZZARD.
Not to mention (And I do love them so please know it’s not from hate) that We were ROBBED of Kelfin and Vulpera are great but the lesser of the two.
Shadowlands has convinced me that “making sense” isn’t really a pre-requisite for something being added to the game at this point in time.
Oh! I love the Kelfin! One of my top picks!
1: Because People want Vampire Elves and they are cool.
2: People want Buffalo Tauren for alot of reasons.
3: There’s never been a Snake People and People want Animal Races.
4: Cat People isn’t Random.
5: Because people like Brown Bears.
- Ogres. They’re too bulky, too large, and on the whole, too stupid.
While yes, maybe not so relevant in today’s expansion but if I do remember back in Wotlk, there was an actual quest that brought them into the horde, although it’s been 10 years I can’t remember honestly how exact, I am going off memory here … but could be why there was and is an actual ask for them. Visually they are a little more different to Tauren though… could be good for further customisations.
Something else I’ve thought would be pretty cool is to pair them with Satyr for the horde.
Could have some remnants left over from Legion or Ashenvale too that are looking for allies, have the horde encounter them and since they’ve a similar past, allow them to join up.
Both Night Elven Worgen and Satyr could have druid as an option. Satyr using the nightmare styled druid forms as default. Could have Satyr be warlocks as well.
And if they ever expanded the Demon hunter races, Satyr would be an interesting option.
I’d still like to see playable naga and broken, which are both already part of the Illidari. Throw in some fel orcs and man’ari as well.
Kelfin and a mix of Ankoan/Jinyu would be a great pair to introduce for both sides.
I’d quite like naga playable. Either use the idea of a sect that broke off from Azshara to worship Elune once again, or some such.
Lol, power went out while typing that due to storms…
No reptile race of any sort!
I’ve kinda thought Nightborn wereManaSaberon would be a fun race. Some mage get creative after seeing some regular saberon, make his own “curse” like the worgen but making them transform into humanoid Mana Saberon.
