Alliance, would you forgive the Horde?

Good point. Lets get the person she disobeyed to chastise her then.

Oh wait. We can’t. Because he was a crazy lunatic who died. Which dying/retiring is the S.O.P. for Horde warchiefs.

Well let me tell you the story:

Once upon a time the Alliance and Horde were on ‘ok’ terms with each other. We had some skirmishes here and there but all and all all out war was unheard of. Then Thrall got this horrible idea to put Garrosh in charge of the Horde who almost instantly started a campaign of global conquest.
Garrosh wanted to make a port city for the Horde so Gilneas made for a great coastal city to take over. The Forsaken were in good striking distance to capture up so he ordered them in. But instead of capturing the city what does Sylvanas do? She razes it with the blight going directly against the Hordes orders, causing the Worgen to then join the Alliance with the aid of the Night elves.

No this war did not start in Legion what so ever.

we dont need to, the whole Horde agreed back then it was the wrong thing to do and are to this day in agreement over that.

Just wrote the story into a corner then. Because they aren’t going to dismantle the Horde. So I guess the Alliance does not win.

That’s my guess as well. Or it may end in bad storytelling and another Alliance pardon, which is bad writing but possible.

And this is an interesting issue. It really shows how Baine is such a horrible leader.

When Horde people are being killed by Sylvanas, and their corpses desecrated. He doesn’t care.

When it happens to a single Alliance leader…suddenly it crosses the line.

And you are being blind if you think the Horde/Alliance have not had “ok” terms with each other since Cata.

The story is already bad. The entire Horde story is a joke.

Why does the alliance think that if peace were to be achieved, the horde has to either be dismantled, submit or be assimilated into the alliance like it is the dominant faction? That’s just downright insulting.

And if the Horde wins should we forgive the Alliance for all of the bad things they’re doing? As a member of the Horde and as a person who wants property in Stormwind, I say no.

Also don’t forget, this ignores the events of Ashran which already broke the truce. Its crazy that people completely forget that part. Then again, it was in WoD and many didn’t play through it. It was the HORDE who broke the treaty, even according to Wowpedia.

The Alliance is seeking a specific, large artifact, theorized by Harrison Jones to have powers rivaling that of [titan] technology. The artifact appears to have military applications, with the possibility of using it or the knowledge gained from it against the Horde. The Horde are aware of the Alliance’s search, and are attempting to find it first in order to defend themselves, breaking their treaty with the other faction and attacking it in the process.

So, Genn didn’t break any treaty, the treaty was already broken by the Horde. Leaving out this information is very deceptive.

The Alliance really has issues with the story if its not 100% about them or their faction leaders.

Legion, where it was all Alliance all day and Horde leaders got cut from the script, is typically seen as a “fair” expansion in regards to faction/leader spotlight in many of these threads by the Alliance posters.

They don’t want to share the story. They want it all.

Its cute you think that WoD was the last time the Horde/Alliance were on “ok” terms with each other.

if you read the post, I was referring to people who say that Genn, who attacked in Legion, broke the treaty. It was the Horde who broke the treaty.

Its cute you responded without reading.

we can’t chance one of you idiots going crazy again.

I know members of the horde just remember things as they would like it to be and not how it was!

So let’s remember Gilneas, where Garrosh shouted loud and clear that he wanted to capture Gilneas, and then steal his resources for Horde!
And that’s why Syl should not use blight!
In the end, she ignored the order not to use blight and made Gilneas useless for Horde!

Unless there are two kinds of ‘no’ in Horde, it seems to me that she could do anything but use the blight on Gilneas!
And ended up using even in South shore!

Her disobedience cost a goal of horde war and is unpunished until today!

Greymane’s, saved the Alliance, because the order to avoid nduin conflicts was given before we knew how much Syl’s actions were bad for Azeroth and the Alliance!

If Anduin had known before, what the Lich Queen was doing, he would have given carte blanche to Genn’s actions!

So after learning what led Greymane to ignore this order, there was no reason to talk about his actions!
They were right and fair, because they guaranteed the freedom of an innocent and the security of the Alliance !!

I am saying there was a call to peace after WoD. During Legion. Which you are ignoring.

That’s the lore, not sure what else to tell you. I don’t really care if you think Baine is a good leader or not.

So like I said. Lets get the person she disobeyed to bring out the justice.

And like I said. This issue only further shows why Baine is a horrible leader.

Thats fine. But considering a large portion of this conversation was based on Baine being a better leader for the Horde than Sylvanas, its often an angle I fall back to.

I’d rather have Sylvanas than Baine. Both are horrible at this point. But Baine actively works against the Horde and for the Alliance.

Would the Alliance want a leader that goes of his/her way to ignore her own people and help the Horde?

No, they are incapable of being genocidal belligerents.
