In all seriousness though at least the whole drama ended on a positive note with both sides admitting a degree of fault in that feelings can get in the way of rationality at times.
Is that why my non-warmode self can never tag a quest mob in Nazjatar and Mechagon because itâs 85% Hordies everywhere?
Lord have mercy, Blizzard finally implemented a system where I can be free of PvP entirely and PvPers are still wasting my time. Blizzard just fixed it so theyâre not doing it on purpose now. IâŚguess thatâsâŚbetter?
Edit: No, I have decided thatâs not better, now everybodyâs equally annoyed.
Iâm still pro-warmode as a concept because I really really like never having to be subjected to PvP unless I specifically choose to go out of my way to be, but this system could clearly use some more refining.
I didnât consider how the exodus would affect nonpvpers. The easy solution is just make WM benefits shardwide, not gamewide. That would mean theyâd be specific to that shardâs population and then the benefits could go the appropriate faction depending on population in that shard that week. It would be more accurate and then it would work as intended.
My preferred solution though would be to just get rid of xrealm entirely and give realms their sense of community back. But wish in one hand, etc.
If you are Alli here, you might as well go WM. Youâll get extra rewards, almost every rare tag, and your risk of dying is extremely low unless you somehow get supremely unlucky caught alone.
This is the opposite of the warmode experience. Itâs Horde who have largely stopped participating. On our shard, thereâs usually a handful of Horde vs Alliance raids hence the âCome out, you coward, and fight the six of usâ. Itâs usually Moonguard raids camping quest hubs like Newhome. The kicker is being severely outnumbered and the Alliance side still receiving a full 30% bonus to rewards since the buff seems to be based on regional participation. So Alliance gets the full buff for the regional realms despite being segregated to RP realms where Alliance has a 10-15% population advantage overall.
That wonât work because the buff is activated by regional participation, not just server/shard participation. It just leads to the Horde being even more severely outnumbered in WM and the Alliance still getting the full disadvantage buff.
I refuse to apologize to anyone who has fallen victim to my raids on Newhome or Dazarâalor itâs the fastest way to get against Overwhelming Odds
Wouldnât Mechagon be faster?
Nope. Tossup if thereâs even horde there and if there is they can retreat to the base fairly easily and be too much trouble to kill.
its okay. youre already a male human paladin. you werenât forgiven from the start
Donât think anyone asked for an apology. Millennials need their participation trophies, afterall ;p
I do see the irony, however, at all the Warmode camping apologists Alliance side who once condemned Hydra AV farms as the heights of toxicity and proof that Western Civ was about to fall.
Was this really necessary?
If I didnât think it was, I would not have typed it out. Reasonable minds may differ, however.
What exactly do the millennials have to do with the topic?
Well, since it seems I was unclear, I was comparing the trend of participation trophies being handed out to a certain generation making said generation expectant of receiving fast and easy rewards for minimal effort, ie: Alliance camping certain shards to get the rewards that Blizz handed over to Alliance for simply participating in Warmode.
I guess this is 2019.
Feels like it should be fair game, then, to make boomer jokes.
What a thing to come back to.
I too believe that a generation that typically pushes for things like:
Please stop killing the planet
Seriously guys, gay people and minorities are in fact also people
Can we please not risk bankruptcy because of a hospital visit?
How about we give minimum wage employees the ability to actually survive?
Are a bunch of entitled brats that never want to do any work
better yet;
boomer participation trophies.
like idk how people play ~millennials~ who were at most like 10 when the participation trophy fad hid for getting them, but donât blame their grown boomer parents for crying till their kid got a trophy (to make themselves feel better)
I have a radical thought.
Donât paint entire generations with the same brush.
Judge people as individuals.
I know, crazy right?
Well, to be fair, a lot of those issues are ones that a lot of people have uneducated opinions on and do not understand. In theory, I can even agree with a lot of the goals even if I think those who have those goals are woefully ignorant of what it would actually take to achieve themâŚbut i digress.
Horde rules, Alliance drools, Mellinnials are lazy and Boomers are old and grumpy.
Now, get off my lawn.
