Doesn’t really matter as long as you find people to play with.
What are you really doing with your time in WoW if you’re in a perpetual state of faction-victimhood?

Yeah. Pretty ridiculous that people are even taking those numbers seriously lol.
There’s just absolutely no reliable way for us to get any population numbers. If there were, someone would have done it long ago.
Last time I turned on Warmode on a Tuesday I saw 10 Alliance for every 1 Horde, therefore Horde is dying, Blizz plz fix nao!
Shenanigans. It’s what I have spent all of my time doing with my friends and guildies for 14 years.
And yet those are still the faction storylines. What you want is one faction playing through an entirely different faction’s story. Sorry, but no. That’s entirely different.
Because of the Cataclysm they let back in the few remaining Shen’dralar and let them teach some of the Nelfs to help with everything that was happening. They were almost kicked out. Tyrande didn’t want them. She still doesn’t. They were a necessary evil, much like DHs. And are treated similar.
If they were so okay with the Shen’dralar, the Nightborne would be Alliance. And they aren’t.
You might need to read the book to understand better.
143,000 is not even close to representing all characters
Census plus takes data from /who searches. It is not a very good indicator of population size.
I heard about this before… and then Captain Marvel made 1 billion. Birds of Prey suppose to do well it flop. Mordern Warfare 2 was suppose to be boy cotted, people played it like crazy.
I.E they DONT HAVE any sort of data , all made up! If they got accurate data, they are illegally hacking blizz data.
Actually, it’s better than AH scraping.
In order to show up on /who you need to be at-keys and playing.
AH scraping gets you alts, players that left, and bank alts.
A /who scan will effectively get you a server-sized snapshot of MAU data which is infinitely more valuable than AH scanning.
It’s still inaccurate and good for little more than general trends, but it’s not a fun general trend to see unless you’re Horde and don’t care about the overall health of the game moving forward.
warcraftrealms.com
reported population for Dalaran: 0
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census.php?serverid=7&factionid=-1&minlevel=20&maxlevel=120&servertypeid=-1
Warcraftrealms.com
reported population for Sargeras: 86 horde, 0 alliance
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census.php?serverid=38&factionid=-1&minlevel=20&maxlevel=120&servertypeid=1
We could keep going with it’s obvious inaccuracies
That site is way out of date and very inaccurate. And any other site like it is going to be the same. In preparing for the AH change, Blizz changed the AH web service and they no longer include the seller name (all the stacks are consolidated and not listed separately) which was an important part of how sites tracked realm population
get AH data->get seller names->get guild data->get total population
That doesn’t work now.
You were saying about “knowing what you’re talking about”?
FTFY
I play Horde because once you leave Elwynn, the only thing to look forward to is Duskwood. Once you finish Duskwood, you might as well call the Alliance story done because you’ve seen the best story the Alliance ever had.
Cool strawman though.
That data is bad data because it tracks characters rather than players.
In order to show up on /who you need to be at-keys and playing (or at least logged into the game through a client).
One player can only play one character at a time, but can have up to 50 of them across multiple servers.
Or are you really saying that my 12 max-level alliance toons are really worth 4x as much as my 3 max-level horde toons even though I spend 90%+ of my time on one toon?
Come to MG. The Alliance are huge here, and Org barely has any defense.
Given the writing, I want to give Moonshine a chance.
pve faction doesnt matter play where you want,
Yeah, sorry. I’m not taking anything dismissive from a forum-alt that doesn’t do end-game content.
well your wrong about one thing this is my main…lol.
That’s because all the horde are probably in the MG inn…
Ogrimmar visions are a cake walk while Stormwind visions are a nightmare.
It’s so blatant, this faction bias. lol
an amoeba could prove you wrong.
a quick glance shows that none of the high-pop realms are represented… at all.
The only ones with accurate numbers of Horde vs Alliance toons, and ACTIVE ones at that as unplayed ones really don’t matter here, is Blizzard. They have said the numbers are actually close but I find it odd that they will not release those numbers. Why not tell us how many active Horde/Alliance toons there are Blizz? Or if you don’t want to do that then how about a simple percentage?
