I would love it if a dev could prove me wrong, but seeing how much better the mythic+ scene is on prime-time horde compared to prime-time alliance, I’m inclined to think that the warcraft realms census data isn’t that far off.
Oh, and because I actually know what I’m talking about to some degree, please devs, if you’re going to shoot me down please answer in terms of end-game content participation MAU ratios. Not in terms of characters played.
Is it really surprising? Imo, it’s pretty clear the factions are treated differently. This has been a rough expansion for everyone, but alliance have had it really bad. Horsegate and Hordemode ran a lot of alliance off. Then vulpera attracted many of those who stayed.
Blizzard doesn’t seem to care what happens to that faction anymore.
I’m sure all Devs called an emergency meeting based on your post. Scrambling to determine how best to respond to your made up statistics and worrying about one wrong word may end the world of world of warcraft.
That site isn’t even close to accurate numbers for the actual world population. Even at a glance you could see that. So it doesn’t really count as a stat for anything.
No matter how much data, videos, pictures and other proof you bring here , horde and blizz fanboys naysayers will say everything is fine and balanced and it’s all alliance players fault.
Ion, Danuser and the rest, likely think this as well.
The Alliance was done the moment Metzen, the only defender of the Alliance at Blizzard HQ, left.
Are you saying there are only 143k characters playing on all US servers and most of them are horde? Or are you looking at a specific server and all of a sudden being surprised it is a horde heavy server?
Oh my mistake this is the US server data. 143k was all servers…
And horde was subjected to the Banshee derp, an annoying capitol, the battle of Dazalor where both alliance characters plot armored their way to safety (and their was basically no follow up) and Torcalli who was basically the exact same mount we could buy from the vendor or get for free as a zandalari character.
Like, this wasn’t exactly a rub and tug for horde.
Except this isnt data or proof there are only 143K characters total according to this, which i can 100% tell you is not the case. its been stated before that if wow were on steam it would consistently be the 1 2 or 3 top game played depending on time of day. if you go look at what their top games are they are in the 400k to 600k players daily. these arnt facts they are a PIECE of the player base that have installed a addon that is reporting data back to the site.
