Alliance needs a slam dunk Allied Race

I can agree with that now that they have basically said crossfaction in some form is happening.

sethrek for neutral or for horde…
yall can have vulpera.

Alliance mostly get races that are physically pleasing to see where horde get mostly monster and hulking races, i mean it is in the name Horde

It’s going to be something with Caelia Menethil. Either to be crammed down Alliance’s throat or Horde’s.

That’s a weird thing to complain about. First of all if you were committed to playing a certain faction, elves were, for a long time, the only ones who could play certain classes (e.g., blood elves were the only Horde race that could play paladins, night elves were the only Alliance race that could play druids, etc.). Secondly there’s a class that can only be played by night elf or a blood elf. Thirdly, until Blizzard added the Horde allied races in BfA, most of the non-elf races in the game were ugly

Also night elves are still the only Alliance druids who have good racials and also aren’t obese. I just race changed my druid from a worgen to a night elf because I couldn’t stop thinking about how useless worgen racials are compared to Shadowmeld or really most other racials in the game.

Well all the horde are unique and interesting races, whereas the Alliance just have different size humans.
Tiny humans = gnomes
Short humans = Dwarfs
Regular size humans = human
Tall Fat human - Kul tiran
Tall human with pointy ears = night elves

Only unique ones are worgen and Draenai. Not much variety like the horde has.

Which is why I said in another post Sethrak would be a good counterbalance. Bring something to the Alliance that we do not have.

Alliance really does not have a monstrous race. Cause Worgen only half count.

(If the Horde gets them I won’t complain. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.)

People call Goblins the greediest race in the game but actually it seems like it’s the high elves/void elves considering how they are a bottomless pit of demands.

People should have tempered their expectations on sethrak considering there was next to nothing to indicate that they would be playable on either faction, let alone the Alliance. No associated rep grind that Alliance players could do, the Alliance interacted with them for even less time than the Horde interacted with the vulpera, models were absolutely not player-ready, etc. Instead, certain types chose to believe that they were an inevitability and end up disappointed, or raged about how mechagnomes “stole” a spot that they think belonged to the sethrak.

Of course, that was during BfA. Since then, support for sethrak has steadily grown instead of waned as it did for ankoan, gilgoblins, blood trolls, mogu, etc. At this point, Blizzard will probably just give them to one or even both factions to shut people up, maybe even as soon as the next expansion, especially after the massive wave of customer dissatisfaction caused by recent events.

They only got vulpera due to overwhelming support and because they were easy to implement. If people didn’t ask for them, the Horde most likely would’ve gotten gilgoblins or some kind of undead allied race, whereas sethrak would’ve been far harder to give to the Alliance at the time and mechagnomes already had a lot of story content planned, so it was too late to change course even amidst all of the praise for the former and backlash against the latter. Compared to what mechagnomes got, the vulpera’s racials and recruitment scenario both felt like afterthoughts, at least to me.

I’d rather it not because the last cool race Alliance was given they ruined and diluted into a wannabe version of my race so I think it’s better Horde gets the cooler races because we actually appreciate them.

The Broken would be the slam dunk.

Can I propose a trade? Vulpera for Dark Iron? I really want to play as DI but can’t play Alliance.

Lore according to Moon Guard.

LFD just needs a racial review. NOt sure how those got off the whiteboard.

Demon XP bonus? Okay…unless leveling in legion or outland kind of…pointless. I mean we don’t even see nathrazim till post 60 (ergo no xP).

and the aoe “bomb”/heal. I have had many deaths on ashrans gone to hell. Ample chance to die and blow enemies up or heal comrades. and…this racial is just bad.

At least give it knockback or something. So I can giggle as I die and yeet 10 horde off the bridge. So that fall damage they’d take would, you know, actually hurt them more.

Stoneform worked just fine in Nathria on mechanics like Remornia’s Carnage. And is terrific in P1 on Mythic Sylvanas.

This would definitely be a boon!

Say WHAT?!?

I take personal offense.

cries in sexy female Draenei

That is fair. Female Draenai are the exception even though they aren’t my style I respect how cool they look lol

I personally like Kul Tirans a lot. I get they’re not everyones cup of tea but aside from Void Elves i think they were one of the better Alliance additions. With the proper customizations, i think they could be made even more popular however. Specifically more options in general.

That said however, most of the Alliance allied races were introduced in the most backward way possible.

  • Draenei/Lightforged: Lightforged should have been a CUSTOMIZATION option for Draenei. Their heritage armor they got could have came in 2 colors. Gold as we have now & Purple for the original Draenei. The Draenei Allied race should have been the Krokuul/Broken.

  • Mechagnomes: These are just gnomes with less customization options. Should have been a customization option for Regular Gnomes if they weren’t gonna be more like the Junker/Northrend Robot Gnomes.

  • Void Elves: Should have been High Elves from the start. Void Elves were a failed attempt at a compromise to end the High Elf requests which just intensified the request for High Elves even more after they were introduced. To make matters worse, the Original Group weren’t even Alliance High Elves. They were literally Blood Elves with no connection to the Alliance. And the cherry on top? They had zero story development even in a patch involving the Old Gods lol. There’s also many people who would support straight up renaming them to High Elves & adding Paladins as well as High Elf themed racials.

It seems like Blizz knows the Void Elves were a failed experiment and ever since their introduction they’ve been adding more and more High Elf customization to them. We’ve now reached a point where they can have regular Hair Colors, skin colors, Eye Colors & No Tentacles in their hair. If they had been High Elves from the start this could have all been avoided. The funniest part about it is if they had been High Elves from the start based on some fan concepts, they could have had some more cultural differences people came up with as well as unique models to differentiate them from Blood Elves rather than the carbon copies we have now.
