Even though the racials are whithin 1% damage overall on a 2 minute fight …horde has burst racials, which are superior in all content, due to this being a cd based burst game.
No. HE are already playable since BC. Blizzard just gave the alliance a carbon copy and it didn’t change anything about the faction balance. Blizz should have just not listen to the must entitle community of this game…
Being highly requested shouldn’t be a excuse when what you ask is already exclusive to the other faction.
Really? As someone who played just that faction for 10 years, both Kul Tiran and DI Dwarves are missed opportunities.
This makes me wonder, how much of the horde would be left if you remove the Blood Elves. just out of curiosity, since they joined the horde because back then everyone was Alliance
DI a missing opportunity??? They are the best alliance allied race!!! Don’t tell me that you are one of those that would prefer wildhammer instead… As if alliance player wouldn’t have whine about getting dwarf with tattoo as a waste of a allied race slot.
Alliance player asking for horde elf and dwarf for tattoo is why many people find the alliance so boring…
Wouldn’t change anything. Horde choice was awefull back then and blood elf were the only none hunched race. With zandalary, nightborn and straight back orc.
Blizzard just gave the alliance blood elf and yet no one play the alliance more.
Ah yes, “gaming magazines,” the number one source for info on WoW
Night elves aren’t a more traditional race than orcs or trolls or even forsaken. Someone unfamiliar with Warcraft would probably assume they were similar to the dark elves from Everquest or The Elder Scrolls, but they’re totally different. The orcs in WoW on the other hand aren’t different from the orcs in a lot of other media. Worgens also aren’t really more traditional than goblins, draenei definitely aren’t more traditional than blood elves, etc.
People originally liked Horde not because they were outcasts or misfits or whatever, but because they looked tough and manly, plus they’re all about being angry and borderline evil which a lot of WoW players find relatable (which is why their Heroism is called “Bloodlust”).
I think its odd to have that opinion.
I know few Alliance players who are snobs, and most of them also play Horde just as much if not only slightly less than they play their Alliance toons.
You playing Alliance should make it obvious to you that most folk play both sides.
And a magazine is hardly a good source for this sort of thing. Their opinion is subjective to them.
They are no snobs. This is the side effect of the game when both sides need the players for high end content. The difference between us and the Alliance is that our cries are fast dealt with while you will wait until the bubble is nearly bursting. I do remember how in recent times we could farm in BfA without level restrictions for the upcoming raid while you became the time on a limit to it which sealed for many people the deal back then. I do remember when the Alliance cried about being constantly harassed on path flights and how fast we got the fix in Shadowlands for the Horde. Or what about the Castle Nathria-fix due the dwarvens while various other Horde-fixes came after the raid was public
You can talk all the day “victim card” but in the end those things happened and the players have a right to criticize was happened. I do enjoyed the cries of the Alliance-players in MoP but with Legion things weren’t this funny anymore. As it turned out, the developers really are biased and the more of us Horde-players wake up and make the game better for all of us instead festering an irreversible wound, the better will it be for the health of the game.
Why do you think these faction-changes will come with 10.0? Because the developers have slept on the issue too long and it not only started to affect the raid scene but also the casual play.
That is flat out not true. First off no one bases sims off 2 minutes and even if you did that would just make the racials look more balanced not the other way around.
The only thing here that holds weight is certain things in pvp are out of hand.
Are you trying to say that this is not a burst meta expac?
Are you trying to say sustain is better than burst cd’s?
Burst is king…horde is still out of hand for racials in pve…human trinket for the microsidegame known as pvp.
What is the cd on the burst racials?..henced 2 minutes…but sure up the test to 10 minute and they are all whithin 1%…who cares its during the burst phases the burst racials shine, and that is all that matter for pve. And in this expac also for pvp.
Are we even playing the same game. Even if what you were saying was true bursting is irrelevant in raid this tier and was for most of last tier.
SoD is not a DPS tier at all so this argument is kind of hilarious.
I lost interest in talking in this bull…
You defending horde racials…not interested!
I am not defending horde racials. What you are saying is simply false and not true in the slightest.
People have not been rolling horde for their racials in quite some time now. It’s a meme to continue to think so. People are going horde because that is where the population is if you want to run end game content.
Ok so because it is horde you don’t care about fact. Thats a interesting way to say that your opinion is to biased to be taking seriously…
Tbh, I just want to see Silver Covenant High Elves. They’re nothing special, but it’s the race that makes the most sense to me.
Just like Ogres for Horde.
I’m a big fan of Warcraft I & II.
Yeah. Just give us High Elves.
Yeah, you gave Void Elves all the customization options, but they still never gave us what we asked for.
I know many want proper high elves but tbh at this point I think offering a choice of racial between arcane and shadow along with adding paladin would be fine. Perhaps rename the race to “Exiles” as well.
As for allied races I would like to see.
- Broken
- Ankoan/jinyu
- Furbolg (use the tauren rig)
I would also main a child of cenarius if they ever added them as a playable race. I think it would work fine with the idea that they have a bipedal form and a “running wild” form that can also be used in combat. Whenever 2 legs is necessary just automatically change to that form. Otherwise it is just an option.
Same thing can be applied to naga and their tails.
Why should void elves lose their names?
I saw a mockup with the Pandaren rig and it was glorious.
