Alliance needs a slam dunk Allied Race

Weird how there was this pent up demand to be able to play that race on Alliance and Blizzard just ignored it for over a decade and then said “okay here are your high elves, but you have to be purple and have tentacles and receding hairlines LOL” and you can spin that as preferential treatment for Alliance

Never said I liked undead lol

So some potential Alliance ARs…

Wildhammer
High Elves

I know those two are provided by current customization but I’m adding them anyways. Wildhammer deserved better imo and folk clearly still have desires for high elves on their own. So… Including em.

Frostborn
Furbolg
Jinyu
Ankoan
Vrykul
Ethereal
Saberon
Arakkoa
Broken
Krokul
Botani
Sethrak
Dryad
Naga
Saytr

… Murlocs…

I think those are all I’ve seen here so far…

Will not happen for the Alliance despite the cat/lion theme. They will mirror the model so the Horde can have access to it.

I’m not arguing the point of any of them there. Just compiling what I’ve seen here.

I’ll be honest though I think the Saberon would be better for the Horde though I’m still waffling on that.

Turn the Tide

You gain 1% damage and healing for every other Murloc within 25 yards, for a maximum of 5%.

I have to admit I am somewhat surprised Dark Iron aren’t more popular. I have a 60 of every class and my shaman is a DI. But the regular dwarf isn’t very popular either, especially the female.

KulTirans are just human. I do see them now and then, but if they could be paladins it’d help their numbers a lot. Heck, they couldn’t even be mages when first playable on PTR.

That would honestly be amazingly fun to see a full 40 man raid of murlocs. Imagine if it had no % cap.

Not a bad idea… unless you have no murloc friends and none in guild… I would make max 10%.

We have absolutely no way to know which AR’s on the Alliance are actually popular niches because of how much of the population has had to go Horde.

They could, in fact, be much more wanted than current numbers show, but it’s impossible to tell because some people can’t play what they want outside alts, and even alts are questionable for content at this point for Alliance.

KT is also, in fact, not one of the best AR’s in the game. It’s a fat human. People are not scrambling to play obese humans, they wanted Vrykul. Dark Irons, however, were very much so requested, and I see a lot of people in the PvP community saying they wish they could play one, but they’re forced to be Orc for the racial and larger player pool.

But racials won’t fix this at this point.
It doesn’t matter what they introduce unless it’s beyond broken, and they continue to allow it to remain broken for multiple tiers in a row, and then the Horde playerbase would whine about it.

Cross-faction + Unique / DESIRED races are the only thing that’ll fix the morale and numbers issue.

People need to think.
More of the exact same thing of what we already have is an issue, and adding more of “the same” isn’t going to fix anything. It’ll just make the problem worse. High Elf is a subrace, and people need to get over it already, and Wildhammer isn’t distinct enough to warrant taking up a race slot, much like high elves and san’layn (for horde) are in general.
Hair/eye colours don’t make a race.

Broken isn’t going to bring hype, Vrykul is more humans and would just prove how much of a wasted slot KT was, Jinyu and Ankoan would be literally the same race with customizations, Frostborn should be customization and we don’t need dwarves taking up another slot unless Forest Trolls take up a spot on the Horde.

The problem is the Alliance has no diversity.
Can we stop trying to reinforce the problem?

Same people will also cry about this, then ignore that they got the Alliance’s request for Highborne Night Elf aesthetics, a capital city, OTT customization for them in .5, massive narrative focus, ect ect.

They’re just whiny little brats who continue to throw temper-tantrums over the fact the Alliance got their “race” (without a custom model and animations, like they did) and hair colours. It’s everything wrong with this pathetically narcissistic playerbase in a single issue.

Sethraks? No! Not in a thousand years could they have imagined this for the alliance.
They are remarklable, new and with many people interested in the breed. But clearly, we can only wait for them in the Horde. Otherwise, we will have to live with another huge and vast butthurt of the horde for stealing something that was rightfully theirs.
Saberon? No! They could never be from Alliance. The Horde deserves more.
Arakkoas? No! A lot of work and as they came from Draenor together with Saberons, they should join the horde.
Jinyus? No. The lore even says we are allies but we can’t wait for something like that.
Broken/Krokul? No!
Furbolg? No. They have more lore than purple blood elves but we won’t have them as a new race, even though we always deal with them in a friendlier manner than the Horde.
Frostborn? Well it would be another dwarf skin. We can’t expect anything better than this for the alliance, coming from Blizzard.

Someone always suggests nagas, satyrs, whose lore is an impediment but we can ignore that when it is not something like sethrak or sauroks.
Dryads and Groove keepers, which are NPC.
Centaurs? the same impediments as naga and Groove Keepers.

If Blizzard created something unique to the Alliance, like dragonbornes, I believe we would have a lot of upheaval from the horde, being forced to play in the Alliance to be able to use a new and desirable race.

And Blizzard won’t want that. So the best we can hope for is to see alliance become more diluted until cross faction makes themes like alliance and Horde an issue to be forgotten.

We will all be Sith lords, stormtroopers, Jedi, smugglers, rebels, bounty hunters, separatists and Imperials fighting together, with our affiliations meaningless because the story told by Blizard will make it so.

Absolutely agree. We start with fixing the Worgen and move on to unique races. HMT should have been gone to the Alliance to “fix” some of these issues during Legion.

Absolutely agree.

Yes. The developers fostered this “Horde cool”-culture ruined the system. It’s not hard to make the Alliance badass, it simply requires giving them what the Horde always gets. Pseudo High Elves are a start, Worgen need to be fixed and we better give them birds, snakes and more from now on.

yup, more trolls, orcs, elves and taurens… clearly not sub races at all…

Like I said. Just collecting what I’ve seen here.

Honestly though many of these make sense and let’s be honest no race or collection of races will change the population disparities.

Edited my list with a few I missed… Kinda miffed I forgot to put Sethrak on there… Then again I want them neutral.

This is for sure. Those alliance loyalist players who still think blizz hates them. It’s gotten amusing actually, how it never stops no matter the facts.

Also…you got your high elves…past time to let it go.

It must either be unique or nothing, as we will have more people in the horde crying that the alliance stole something unique from them, because Blizzard just doesn’t want to go to the trouble of making the other part of their product as valid as the other.

Neutral races have diluted the pandaren and any development for them since Pandaria.
Once the cross faction is created, it will no longer matter.
The Alliance will disappear into the shadows of mediocrity.

I think the only real chance for high elves as something different or separate from void elves will only occur if they make a sub race system at this point.

Aside from high elves themselves I don’t think anything mentioned has been explicitly Horde.(high elf blood elf that is)

The Sethrak come closest but even then they’re still officially neutral to both factions.

Could’ve had Sethrak. I imagine they’d have been pretty popular

Thin Kil Tiran would also be popular. They would be great for spellcasters to give them they “physically frail but powerful” stereotype

the legacy of the highborne are the nightborne/high elves and they have joined the horde. as a people/race. not a couple individual elves with nothing else behind them that serve as nothing but easter egg nods like the alliance has in modern times. and it makes perfect sense, the player night elves of the alliance are the lowborne. THEY HATE the highborne. how they tolerate the void elves i have no clue

you got your void infused elves now that can look like a normal blood elf so why are we still talking about this?

i dont see anyone throwing a tantrum. i mean you can finally play a blood elf in your preferred faction after 15 years and the game is dead. grats

anyway, hey shirt merry xmas hope you are having a good holiday
