The Alliance need something like this. Alliance ONLY!!

Alright, but they literally stole elves for the horde back in the day because everyone else on the horde was butt ugly.

Alliance players aren’t a hivemind. Also, you should be blaming blizzard for saying undead would explode trying to wield the light. No one ever said anything about undead and void energy (what…?)

I agree Alliance should get a reptilian race (Sethrak or not). WoW is missing that common fantasy theme for players. I don’t agree with people requesting Saberon because they look way too close to worgen. If they got unique models and animations, then maybe.

At this point i think they should just rename the Void Elf race to High Elves. Either that or give them a new overall name that can include High Elves & Void Elves. It would fix a lot of problems as well as opening up Paladins for people that want to be an Alliance Elf Paladin which a lot of people want without the problem of their race having “Void” in the name.

I think that’s part of the whole Dev/Player divide…

Players asked for high elves for a LONG time.
They got… Kind-Of high elves… with conditions and baggage.

IDK how different it is Alliance side, but on Horde the blue goth elves are just elves… with names like “Umbral” and such. It doesn’t really add anything and there’s no real representation outside of a couple world quests.

Kul Tirans are amazing

No single allied race will work. The problem is that all of the top players consolidate on a single faction leaving alliance dead. No race will change that

A sign you know the next expansion is a failure before it’s released is they announce there won’t be any new races or classes.
WoD and SL failed worse than any expan, having least content and both only having 3 pvp seasons. No new race or class means blizz was lazy with the making of the expansion.

So what’s the answer?
Leave the alliance like this? Dissolve the faction?
All Alliance members go to the Horde, like homeless, humiliatingly begging for space on the threshold of Orgrimmar? Don’t do any further development as nothing will bring any value back to Alliance?

Blizzard can always create a faction of NPCs to perform the alliance’s actions.

The only thing I know is that if nothing is done, Alliance will go through the same oblivion event as Cro-Magnon. Alliance is a product of Blizzard and Blizzard should make both the Horde and Alliance viable, with good stories, lore and interesting races for both.

There are ways to change this, but all solutions involve doing some things that will hurt the most petty people who do not want any kind of change for the alliance, whether with more attractive races and histories, those who enjoy seeing apathy, ostracism and alienation that the devs’ neglect of alliance has dealt with alliance.

Blizz said they’re discussing the option of having alliance players team up with horde ones for raiding. And maybe rated pvp. Only join parties or raids but still not allowed in each others cities without being attacked and all that. But regardless wow needs new races or classes to keep things fresh, without them it gets stale.

This happened in Warhammer as well. The player base has chosen. I just think the Alliance is less popular overall. The only way to really fix it is to merge all factions. But that kills the core of wow fantasy

You don’t have to merge the factions, just let them play together in PvE (Raiding including Mythic Raiding, M+).

Well, it’s the easiest decision and it doesn’t involve any effective action by Blizzard, in addition to yielding great jokes and a humiliating like a loser in the mouth of those who are still Muggles to create a character in the alliance, when they should have done it in the horde.

I’m looking forward to having a doghouse in Orgrimmar.
I’m ecstatic that the best option is to be turned into a homeless person who will have to beg groups in the horde.
Wouldn’t it be better to dissolve the failure faction soon and sign a contract of servitude to the glory of the horde?

And we will also have the advantage of not having to create anything more relevant to the alliance, just writing to the horde.

Ally will be like the Townsville police.

You said it yourself. Eventually Alliance will be mostly npc’s. What a great fantasy.

If they had never gone with the rigid two faction system, or at least ended it when it was appropriate, this whole thing wouldn’t be an issue. They wouldn’t have to come up with two new races every time they wanted to add one. They’d just add that race and people could play it.

I think WoW is a very big lesson on how the two faction system doesn’t really work all that well.

I’m don’t think it will ruin the core fantasy, I mean for raiders and well any pve content both the horde and alliance are attacking and trying to defeat the same enemy. So why they don’t join forces and do it I don’t know why. Alot of pve’ers don’t even see or encounter any of this faction divide throughout their entire time playign the game.
It’s just the pvp side, but even then you have the mercenary mode for horde, and in rated bg’s and arenas you have alli vs alli and horde vs horde. Plus in every war there are defectors, why wow can’t have any I don’t know…

Yea, it’s been like that for me since forever. I just kill Alliance NPCs and play as a Hordie. Wouldn’t bother me at all…
