Alliance needs a slam dunk Allied Race

I see.

So almost everyone Alliance-side plays a human or elf, and has for the last 17 years, but they don’t actually like them.

Yes. Of course.

just let kul tirans use the sw human model like nearly every kul tiran does but with kt voice and racials

But I read that nobody likes the standard Human model…

nah its pretty popular you see humies all the time

lot of races would be good. sethrak, broken, mantid, arakkoa, steamwheedle goblins (though, that oen and mantids are more ones that ‘I’ want then actual options), lot of good options for’em.

I like binding the rest of the kingdoms together though I probably wouldn’t go through the Scarlets myself… That said that sounds really neat and fun.

Mostly they want tattoos, dark ranger stuff and San’layn options, which I’m all for.

I favor letting them have the choice between thick normal and thin.

As well as giving that option to SW humans and Alteraci(for the Horde).

Lotta folk like to clang on the humans for being “vanilla” or too close to real life. Yada Yada. Ignore those sorts. Plenty like humans.

Hey now. Hulking monsters can be physically pleasing. Especially those Tauren.

I too like Kul Tirans a lot!

Am I dumb or what, where’s the pandas on here?

The fun of more than 2 factions lol.

“twisted” factions even.

See one the cool things about warhammer, 40K especially, is inter-faction fun

why would an inquisition army with the sisters of battle at its core fight on the tabletop against an imperial guard army? same crew, right? all humans.

well the inquisition has deemed those imperial guardsman as heretics. time to purge that heresy.

They need a bomb in stormwind

Races won’t do anything but increase morale, which is already in the crapper after stuff like fat humans taking up a whole slot. It won’t fix imbalance. It’s too late at this point without cross-faction play.

Void Elves cover like, 3 popular aesthetics in general. Void, High Elves, and some of us noticed we can make bootleg San’layn on them now too, so their numbers are a little jacked off being pretty much 3 races in one.

Sethrak is popular, but stuff like Naga, Arrakoa, Mermaids (now canon), and other popular tropes are needed.
I disagree heavily with Vrykul; we don’t need more humans when the complaint is “too many humans” for most people. Just bake the customization into KT’s if we ever get body types, because that’s what they should have been.

Fixing the male human model might help with this, honestly. It’s ugly as sin, and people generally want to play something they find attractive. If you’re wanting to play a humanoid, and you had to pick between the steroid monkey male human, or the blood/void elf model, people are generally going to go for the elf model because it looks more like a 20ish human than the humans do.

Is that a threat my good sir?

Being very frank about new races and allied races, the alliance didn’t take anything that would bring people into the faction.

Kultirans are not good for the eyes. They are an obese race and more appealing to comic than heroic sense.

Purple blood elves won’t make people leave their true blood elves in the horde and start from scratch in the alliance.

And junkgnomes was a kick in the face of alliance, as it is the race with the most despised look in the game.
Making vulperes their opposite race in the horde was a death certificate.

Even though these races have good racials, visually they suck.
And better races are of no use in a faction in which the pvp environment is less healthy than what exists in the horde today.
Alliance is not seen as interesting for arenas, pvp and BGs in general and we all know that. Giving better racials didn’t attract people.

These 3 races are not salable. They’re a commercial failure just like Coke 1985 because people in the horde aren’t going to leave the horde for something rotten like that.
It was like giving piranhas a vegan dinner.
It was a failure and commercial insult by Blizzard.
Something that just crystallized “the normal human, dwarf human, tiny human, hippie human” meme joke.

Would Sethraks be a good thing for the alliance? Yes.
Does the current lore allow it? Do not.
Could it be written to allow? If Blizzard wants it, yes but it’s more likely than sethrak, if it ever becomes a playable race, go for the horde.

And for sure Blizzard might give a race of gorillas to the alliance in return.
For aesthetics and symmetry.

But Blizzard wrote BfA and decided that vulperas would go to the Horde, even though some people didn’t want vulperas but sethraks.

Draenor’s Arakkoas, saberons, Jinyus or furbolgs for ally?
Would they be good candidates? I believe so, all it takes is for Blizzard to create a basic lore for it.
They created a lame lore for purple blood elves and jungnomes to join the alliance.

It is not an intellectual challenge to do the same for one of these races.
When it’s alliance’s turn, it’s not always compatible in terms of aesthetics, or it’s not viable or there’s no such thing as a resource.
Or they just don’t want to give something exciting so they don’t have people in the horde complaining that it’s being wasted on a boring faction they don’t want to play with.

I think the trolling climate may be institutionalized by the devs when it comes to the Alliance. And frankly, many in the horde are amused seeing the lack of charm, imagination and magic that the alliance has today. There are many people here confirming this, in a mocking tone.

If a draconic race were next to be brought into the game, it would either be introduced into the game like the pandaren, diluting the players and making the majority create them in the horde, or all of the horde.

And the devs would create a race of wood gnomes and claim they are equivalent to the dragonborne hordes the horde received.

Still, I like the alliance player for life, I would like to see the alliance getting a race that didn’t make the horde say “oof”.

Worgen was one of the few alliance races that is appreciated even in the horde.
More than 10 years since the alliance saw something refreshing.

With the blue faction becoming increasingly irrelevant, one of the few things that can still be done to enhance the ally would be with new races, as we can’t expect anything good from lore.

Maybe not saberons since they are too much of a savage race. But botanis are 100% a viable option.

While at it, blizz should add eredars for horde. Come on blizz i want goat warlocks.
