Alliance finally winning AV

How bad is this horde if alliance can win on that map lol. Props.

You mean horde favouritism had nothing to do with the win/loss ratio then what are the other 1000s of posts from alliance claiming this about lol

You sound like a vindictive derp for assuming it’s fixed and oh so simple a fix too!

Get real. This is no where near a turning point for alliance.

How were they banning afk? Was it based on mass reporting from the raid or did they somehow monitor people sitting in the cave?

Just wondering if they will be something that gets abused to grief players?

On the plus side, 2 wins yesterday out of 5 AVs. And the losses were pretty close.

Still have those clowns that dont dismount and just run around behind the fight.

How do you think addons like Cattleprod worked?

The longer I stay away, the less likely that becomes. It seems my happy place might be far, far away from the PvP community.

The alliance have started to kinda listen and yes, less afk’rs and bot’s help a hell of a lot. When someone says “Lets push IBGY” or “SHGY”. I always say but “Lets hold on to SHGY, till we have capped one of those”. They try and get wiped and we have SHGY to fall back on. We then continue the back and forth fight near SHGY
and if the horde continue to play defense with 30 people (super annoying). We get enough crystals to Treezus and even that doesn’t work half the time cuz for some odd reason our summoning stone is right out in the open of FoS. Hmmm, whereas the horde is a bit more out of sight. Nah, lets not talk about map advantages guys
 RIGHT? lol
Oh, and our druids will chase forever
Guess what happens to horde shaman’s? they actually stop chasing after a while. Must be nice.

It is nice to see alliance starting to play the horde game and defend and slowly push forward. No reason to rush guys.

I started to create a macro that says “if you want a rush game just afk out now”. =)

I remember a post I wrote a while back really wondering why the Alliance just want to rush and not defend. All the responses were “lol, look at this Horde trying to get us to play his way.”

Perhaps they’re finally coming around to the idea.

It will take longer to tell. So far in my games we have lost the same ways, just slower. And yes, that is partially because of the map.

Could be worse. Queue into AV, says 1 hour 30 minutes. At 1 hour 6 minutes you go to the bathroom and get back 80 seconds later and you see the join or leave queue message and click it but it doesn’t accept and your back in queue for another 1 hour and 13 minutes.

They really starting to come around. Getting rid of AFK’rs was the first step, we will need many others.

I tend to agree. I truly believe its purely a mindset/player perception problem. Its a shame that instead of trying after Blizz fixed mass-queue dropping
the spurned premaders turned to mass-non-participation.

Meta shifts take some time, and its a shame yall lost about a month of figuring things out simply due to how offended ex-premaders were.

We actually, most of the time, communicate pretty dang well. Calling incs with numbers, locations etc.

Those were the rankers and people looking for the easy HPH grind. I don’t blame them for not wanting to join the masses. When we had so many afk’rs and Bots.

What I didn’t like was them leaving games and creating 10v40. That wasn’t cool.

Oh no, for two weeks the alliance had to deal with actual PvP, the horror!!

I don’t blame them for wanting to segregate themselves. I know if the Horde could, they would have too. However, i can blame them for their response to Blizzard breaking it though
instead of playing with the masses, they chose to afking and bot too.

This whole “but they changed it in tbc so that proves it was broken” argument is so filled with holes its not even funny

The ONLY reason the starting cave was changed in tbc was because of the new reinforcement mechanic.

With the addition of resources a new win condition was created, get your opponents resources to zero, you no longer had to kill the faction boss.

This change allowed the horde to use a new strategy that wasn’t viable to win before, they could reach balinda faster and zerg her down, and then they could retreat and turtle in galvs room, because the mini bosses are worth a significant chunk of resources it gave a distinct advantage that the alliance couldn’t replicate because of the starting caves

HOWEVER this strategy would accomplish absolutely nothing in classic AV, killing balinda and galv are not necessary at all to win the game, if horde turtled galv the alliance can just push south ignoring them and win the game

The starting location was never the reason alliance lose so much in AV in the NA region in classic
