It’s not specific to one server you can see the same issue on other servers. Streamers are actually putting together full raids to counter camp instance portals and dissuade that behavior. I am not against WPVP or the occasional gank here and there. The bigger issue is the no lifer players who spend many hours standing outside of instances and cleaving down any and everyone trying to run a dungeon over and over. It’s bad all around but not much we can do about it. Crappy people are gonna be crappy. Us as the ally on fairbanks have been actually banding together and to enter the “if its red it’s dead” world just to keep people playing. From ally point of view we are very out numbered and we have to go out of our way to counter gank and protect the player base so more don’t transfer off and we end up 90/10
Yep. You can do battlegrounds on a PVE server. Thrall is a PVE server (or was a PVE server for Legion) and I did battlegrounds all the time with all of my alts.
And that’s one of the reasons why I just decided to reroll on a PVE server. I really wanted to do PVP. But others players camping dungeon and instance portals to prevent others from playing content that they paid for is not PVP to me. It’s trolling. I play LoL so it’s not like I’m scared of PVP. Some days I just want to play the game.
Really? Every time I travel thru Tarren Mill all I see in chat is horde being ganked by ally. I actually mean anytime (leveled fishing there/quested over several days) and no matter what time i logged on there was always chatter of the ally gank squads
Blizz should allow transfers from PVP to PVE. New players like me didn’t know what they were signing up for with a PVP server. Make them paid transfers if they want.
Tarren Mill Southshore is notorious for this and a mecca for PvP action so any horde getting killed there should not be a surprise and is not a place to complain about. Camping BRD/SCHOLO/BRS entrances is just trolling and griefing. Ally are much higher lvl than horde when they hit hillsbrad so horde lvling there historically have a rough time.
*on basically every other PvP server
As a Horde lvl 48 on Anathema, I feel pretty outnumbered in most of my areas lately. So far they’ve been very polite and no one’s camped me after killing me. Most of the fights have been pretty fun, too. At least it’s a target rich environment
I played Alliance on Mal’ganis when it was 13-1 Horde to Alliance.
Some Horde said they had seen a unicorn when they saw an Alliance player there.
I was on Stalagg and left after sitting in Everlook one day, surrounded by over 15 horde with no other alliance players at the time. People underestimate just how bad it is going to be in phase 2 if you’re the underdog faction and there’s no battlegrounds for rankers to farm honor in.
I’m just too old for grief killing. Plus #nochanges
Humans are strange creatures. SO many people talk about how great world pvp is, and then do everything they can to avoid it, while still having it as an option.
Your last sentence says it all guy, historically alliance gankfest horde at lower levels and then you complain when we do it back? lol
Reroll and help ease the unbalance. Is that… a foreign concept? Horde have no right to complain.
The thing about world PvP is that, if I was going to kill every alliance I come across, I would never get anything done. I’m still looking to get to 60. I don’t want to spend 30 minutes every login just fighting alliance.
So were transfers for Alliance only? hmm…
So why didn’t horde transfer to a server with lower horde pop? Hmm…
Why don’t horde just reroll alliance to balance out the server pop? Oh wait…
I don’t have much pity for people who purposefully force an imbalance. you could balance it out yourself instead of forcing people to roll on the losing side. But who want to roll on the losing side? But sure it’s all blizz fault for not forcing people to lose.
The server transfert are still up if im not mistaking. I dont get why 4-5 big horde guild from their 80-20 realm to join a 60-40 alliance favored realm? Is it because horde cannot deal with fairness?
Some overpopulated PVP servers are mostly alliance, and others are mostly horde. So you you take the excess alliance from one server, the excess horde from the other server, and put them both on the same new server. Problem solved.
This doesn’t really work because most of the servers are horde favored.
Even if they opened free transfers for the higher population to go to a server where they would be the lower pop almost nobody would take it.
Wow… I think you just validated phasing in the modern game… when left to their own devices players prefer to be phased into safe environments where they outnumber the other faction.
They know, they dont like doing it but the players base screeches at every solution they implement… they solved this by implementing CRZ in the modern game to balance numbers… so be careful what you are asking for.
Remember we think we do but we don’t, you cant force players to play where they don’t want to.
