I guess even Whorf got some moments to shine, but most of the time…
Being broken is what gives a character personality. Turalyon had no visible issues, thus making him pretty boring. Most humans are broken in some way and those breaks make these characters relatable. I suppose you just have to be in touch with your humanity to see it.
Blizz should add you, SAthrogan as the next new protagonist of the story. But then there’s a plot twist where you piss your pants and die in the battlefield.
She does look good at least yeah.
Void elves are the same, but they’re not whining. They’re just over in Stormwind being normal members of society
they’re def the least annoying elves
yeah having to as a human fight for a thousand years and have what feels like going back in time to our world isn’t a problem. Id rather have boring old Paladin boi lead the way than broken emo elf trying to pick her next outfit to larp as a void god hunter.
Since you are more in favor of missing the point in an attempt to be humorous, let’s try this a different way. There is not a single super hero in ANY comic book who is not “broken” in some way. Every one of them became a hero despite their broken lives. Even the greatest of all time, Superman, had a very tragic past and still overcame a metric ton of personal issues to help save the world. Even real people today, who have led and inspired all have a backstory that involves pain, anguish, and suffering of some kind. Overcoming those moments made them who they are, and more relatable to others. If you and your world have never experienced being broken, and the triumph over it, then I applaud you. I am who I am in spite of my scars, not because of them. Alleria is no different.
She wants to be a badass so badly but she just isn’t lol.
You can chalk that to dumb teenager anduin talking out of his butt really
The Message
I really can’t handle the Anduin-Alleria interactions. Can we kill them both off, please?
What makes this funny is alot saying Alleria is a clown now when in reality, everyone posting about th8s is more of a clown.
Alleria is pretty. You hate every cosplayers as well?
More engaging than Garrosh and Sylvanus.
Yeah they did a 180 on her. She was always cautious and careful in approaching situations. Now she’s “I see Xal’atah!!! Die!!!” not realizing its always an illusion or Xal’atah is actually planning to stop her arrows. She’s SL Tyrande 2.0.
I really don’t like Alleria at all, I’d rather follow Anduin or Magni or even Thrall…Tired of the pointy ears being the leaders…
Call me wacky, crazy bananas
But I have the slightest feeling that this is like Ner’zhul slowly, taunting Arthas into embracing the dark side of things.
Get her to do terrible things. Make impossible choices.
And Alleria might become something even more dangerous than Xal. Like a Kerrigan groomed by the Overmind. And we wage war for many years until at long last her “ascension” unlike the Nerubians is on par with the void lords.
And some terrible Trans dimensional being is out to merge void power with some other powerful aspect. A sinister Titan goal of perfection through millennia of evolution and strife.
Don’t you DARE talk about flea market Sylvanas waifu!..You take all that back and you do it now!
Well, you have to take into account that the world of Warcraft (not the players) really have this thing about the Void. So her being a danger gets reinforced and being a Windrunner (for some reason) means she tries to remove what she thinks is the true danger.
Then the Void is also apparently sending this idea that she will kill her family. BFA had her attacking her son in visions. She attacks Turalyon and he kills her in the lead up to this expansion. So its normal for her to pull herself away from everyone.
Of course this plays right into what she’s fighting against. Xal’atath is really the stand in for the Void. But the void is part of her so its an internal struggle that can only be shown in limited ways game wise.
Same idea could be said for Anduin. He pulls himself away because he has expectations of himself and believes everyone else has them even higher. And he can’t even meet his own much less others.
The only way to get that across to players is to repeat that story beat. Maybe too much for some but I’m sure others will still miss it. They didn’t do it nearly enough with Jaina after Theramore’s destruction and people still think she’s just switched to crazy for little reason. I’m critical about how they go from 0 to 100 for some characters. I think Thrall’s struggles are another that’s not been well done.
Hmm. I don’t know, I like Alleria, I think she’s a pretty good character.
Also, her Void Barrage ability is really nice.
