Clowns be scary, bro!

Pretty much every lore complaining thread I see TBH.
It’s almost like “The War Within” has multiple meanings. (Insert Keanu WHOA! here)
id be inclined to agree with arelia and her problems being traits of a good hero. if she hadnt had these powers for the better part of her adult life. like if these powers hadnt manifested until she met xalathat.
aleria has been dealing with these powers for decades in the story time and with help from a being that has been dealing with the same powers for millennia. her powers have manifested negatively once in legion and nowere else in game.
now i dont read the books because as far as i am concerned they are all hot steaming poorly written garbage. but im sure she got some more development there like her sister did. and i couldnt stomach that book any more than hers.
aleria isnt a good main story character. at least anduins problems stemmed from interations ingame. hes got that going for him. and only took him a few days with the warm embrace of another person who has probably gone through the same cycle of destruction, for him to realize how he was and what he had to fix it.
Alleria may have been dabbling with the void for a couple thousand years because of Great Dark time shenanigans, but she’s only been a void elf since the fall of the Legion, so roughly under a decade.
It isn’t even in books, we see her eat the Naaru and turn into a void elf and it’s only after that would she start having actual problems.
my point is. there were people who would have fit better as the "suffering looking for redemption " hero. even anduin fits better. his trauma is as fresh as it can get and his redemption and overcoming actually fits well with the timeline. not some npc you barely see for a bit in legion. forget about everyone until now and suddenly shes the character we gotta go and do everything for.
I see your point but I’d like to add just one thing. Unlike the other characters in the story who have “powers”, Alleria’s power is not just a learned talent. It’s a “deal with the devil” type situation where she bound herself to part of the void. This explains a certain degree of irresponsible behavior.
She’s also thousands of years old before even considering her sojourn with Turalyon. Getting zapped with void energy shouldn’t put her back into puberty. She’s just not done well in this section imo.
Hello. Using “Karen” as a slur or insult is a racist term which unsavory or downright dogmatic sorts use against White people. Please refrain from keeping this harmful “trend” alive. Thank you for your understanding.
Alleria is a drunk wine aunt, fighting with the neighbors who keep letting their dog urinate in her yard.
It is cute she has unique dialogue for yall if you got the dagger mog put over what you’re using
Well she could be like her other sister who was played the fool for an entire story line only to find out the truth near the end and then think she could kill the Jailer with an arrow…
I like alleria , big fan of her
his trauma doesnt really make sense, the things he is crying about now, used to be things he laughed off pre-mop. I remember his lines to the tiger god in pandaria, about surviving death and even the end of the world, now he is mopey Saduin acting like a few shadow demons and some spider are peak scary.
Bet you won’t say it to her face
I just think it’s funny Alleria continually trys to hunt a world-ending threat, by herself.
If she’s captured and turned into an agent of the void, it’d be her own damned fault.
Nobody tried to hunt the Lich King alone. Well, Illidan did, and look how it went for him lol.
Well he was kinda copin’ fine until his dad died. Because now he’s alone again when it comes to family.
Its a lil easier to be more upbeat when your Dad is back in your life
Well she stopped by the end. She had the “Ugh I was being cringe” realization and stopped trying to do stuff solo
Yes, by losing it.
I guess I just like her new dress. I am positive that if they put it on the trading post in different colors with the black tights sold separately, it would sell like hot cakes.
