Why are all US West PVP realms locked for transfers? why can’t I play the game with good ping?
All the us east pvp servers are locked to, except earthfury and its dead.
because they decided to allow players to have the power of changing server by paying a fee (worst idea when it comes down to the classic playerbase btw)
And instead of opening free xfers from any of the mega servers to their only low pop pvp server left they create a brand new one instead. It makes no sense.

Since if you look at comments people are much more likly to transfer to a new unknown server that can be shaped as they want from there compared to a existing dead one.
Look how fast the newly made realm is filling vs the dead realm before they tryed to get people to go to. This is after the easy to make leave people already left to.
It makes total sense for them to open a new one vs just trying the same thing and expecting different results you do know that is the definition of insanity.
This might be part of why they made the second fresh server West Coast, because the other PVP servers got closed.
The ping doesn’t really matter though unless you’re a high-end arena player. it does kind of matter for raid times although I find better raid times for me on the east coast as a west coast player.
I’m not happy with Blizzard for not repopulating Earthfury before making a new server. I’m pretty sure they meant to close it but someone who didn’t know what they were doing updated the list to say Arcanite Reaper instead, everything points to that. However, now that it exists the right and ethical thing to do is take care of what you have instead of making new. Reasons like “oh people won’t go there if they can’t keep their name” cool well those people can just sit in the queue then if that’s more important to them. Sulfuras was starting to die before it got repopulated too. There are some people playing on Earthfury right now as well. So I will keep talking about this on more relevant threads for sure.
The “be shaped as they want from there compared to an existing dead one.” is the exact same line unethical trashy people use when dumping their dog at a shelter and then going to a breeder and getting a new one. The overall mindset is pretty gross IMO.
As for the OP though yes it does suck. Rolling on the new fresh server or rerolling on Whitemane until transfers unlock are still an option. Or playing PVE for now.

That’s actually an insane argument you are trying to make. So because some people might not like the “idea” of xferring to a “dead” server we better cater to their feelings and completely screw over the people (and yes there are quite a few of us on Earthfury actually playing just not enough to make it a viable server heading into wrath)?
At the end of the day a dead server and a new server are for all intents and purposes the same. It’s not like there is one population controlling the market, there is barely one to speak of which is exactly where a new server starts. Also, your argument was already proven false - look no further than Sulfuras as Moo already mentioned. That server was On life support until they opened free xfers from megaservers with insane Qs and what happened- shocker it is now one of the healthiest and most enjoyable servers there is by all accounts. So doing the same thing when it actually works is not insane, it just makes sense.
P.S. doing the same thing over and expecting different results is actually NOT the definition of insanity. Just so you know lol.

They didnt offer free tranfers to earthfury. People are more likely to use a free service, than a paid service.

Huh? Sorry but you are just wrong. I literally took a free xfer to Earthfury. It was offered as one of the options from the servers they were eliminating in the big merger/consolidation right before the pre-patch dropped.
If more people understood that perhaps there would be more awareness for how absolutely ridiculous it is for those of us who took that xfer and now find ourselves on a ghost town of a server while they continue to roll out new servers and free xfers to other servers.
Edit: Sorry I see you were replying to the other post not me lol. I agree they have not offered free xfers to Earthfury since the prepatch dropped and Q times have become an issue. I agree with you if you are saying more people would take them if it was free now that is my whole argument lol.

Still waiting on new East coast pvp server. Don’t know why they keep pumping out west coast servers when the demand is there for east.
And this is why Blizz should be promoting Earthfury as a ‘recommended’ server with free xfers… literally a low pop east coast pvp server sitting here rotting…
