I sometimes use the Stormwind Guard transmog, to give my shaman plate armor 
Heritage armor is based on race, not class. It is restricted based on that.
And clearly defines that attempting to claim “we need to know what class they are” with armor types has gone very much out the window.

You can do it now yes. But it is restricted or no one would be talking about it. If you open it up there would be way more of it.
If I wanted to play a game where my tank is in a dress or bikini I would play any one of another multitude of games. FFXIV has tanks running around in Bikini’s, this is one of the things I extremely dislike about the game. EQ has dyes where some plate wearers were running around with purple breast plate, pink shoulder pads, neon green greeves etc etc. Its brutal. Its just an opinion but no one will ever convince me this is a good idea.
Now I would be on board with weapons being almost completely opened up. Well maybe not a shield to a weapon but for the most part wide open. Id also be ok with Hunter and probably shaman being able to mog leather and chain. As I could see a hunter using leather or chain. But a hunter in a bikini or a robe. No thanks. Cloth I think should stick to cloth. If you want a battle mage there should be more battlemage looking cloth

Then you don’t have to do it. But it shouldn’t keep others from doing it. Your fantasy is your problem not everyone’s.
True, but then again though people are paying real money for those things, in-game all you’re doing is killing a boss for transmog.
No, we need more class and armor specific mogs. Wouldn’t be an issue if every armor type collectively got a maximum of 4 mogs per expansion since Legion ended.
i compltely agree. They already have vendors that sell covenant cloth-based armor, My pally runs around with a robe and sandals on, and it’s not game-breaking.
Open up all transmog restrictions!!!

100% agree, if ff14 can do it and it’s very successful, Blizzard needs to stop with it’s excuses and just Do It!
Also leather has some of the worst transmogs, shadowlands has shown this
